Verify Your NCLEX and Licensure First
Before applying, confirm your New York RN license is active or pending through NYSED. Glens Falls Hospital won't move forward on sponsorship until your licensure status is clear, so resolving any VisaScreen or credential evaluation gaps early prevents avoidable delays.
Target Units With Consistent Openings
Glens Falls Hospital regularly posts openings across med-surg, ICU, and emergency nursing. Focusing your application on high-turnover units increases your odds of landing a hiring manager who's motivated to move quickly through the sponsorship conversation.
Ask About Sponsorship During the Offer Stage
Regional hospitals often handle sponsorship case by case rather than through a formal policy. Raise the H-1B or EB-3 question directly once you receive a verbal offer, before the written offer is drafted, so the employer can loop in their immigration counsel early.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline for Nurses
If you're pursuing a Green Card through Glens Falls Hospital, the PERM labor certification process through DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before USCIS even sees your I-140 petition. Build that timeline into your status planning if you're currently on OPT or TN.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Nursing Roles
Search Migrate Mate to filter Glens Falls Hospital nursing jobs by visa type, so you're applying only to roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than spending time on postings that won't support your visa category.
Align Your Resume to U.S. Clinical Documentation Standards
Glens Falls Hospital uses Epic for electronic health records. Highlighting direct experience with EHR systems and U.S.-style nursing documentation in your resume signals day-one readiness and reduces the employer's concern about onboarding an internationally trained hire.

Does Glens Falls Hospital sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, Glens Falls Hospital has sponsored H-1B visas for nursing roles. Regional hospitals like Glens Falls typically handle sponsorship through outside immigration counsel on a case-by-case basis rather than running a large-volume program. Your strongest path is to raise sponsorship directly with the hiring manager or HR after a verbal offer, before the written offer is issued.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Glens Falls Hospital?
You can browse and apply for nursing openings at Glens Falls Hospital through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm sponsorship is on the table before applying. Focus your applications on units with consistent vacancy patterns, such as med-surg, ICU, and emergency, where hiring urgency tends to be highest.
Which visa types does Glens Falls Hospital commonly use for Nursing roles?
Glens Falls Hospital has sponsored nursing roles under H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. For most internationally trained nurses pursuing long-term U.S. work authorization, the EB-3 pathway combined with an H-1B bridge is the most practical route, though this depends on your country of birth and current visa status.
What qualifications does Glens Falls Hospital expect for sponsored Nursing positions?
At minimum, you'll need an active or pending New York RN license, NCLEX passage, and a completed VisaScreen certificate if you trained outside the U.S. Glens Falls Hospital's nursing roles typically require a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing with a BSN completion plan. Specialty unit roles in ICU or emergency may require additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or TNCC.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Nursing role at Glens Falls Hospital?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after the April 1 filing date, with premium processing available to cut that to 15 business days. For EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the PERM labor certification through DOL adds 12 to 18 months before the I-140 petition stage. If you're on OPT or a TN, confirm your expiration date with HR early so there's enough runway to complete the process.
