Target faculty and research roles first
Gonzaga's sponsorship activity is concentrated in academic and research positions. Focus your search on faculty openings, postdoctoral appointments, and research staff roles, these are where the university has the strongest history of supporting international candidates through H-1B and Green Card pathways.
Understand Gonzaga's Jesuit mission alignment

Ask about Green Card sponsorship early
Gonzaga has a track record of supporting both H-1B and permanent residence pathways. If long-term stability matters to you, ask HR during early conversations whether the role is eligible for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship before investing time in the full application process.
Check OPT and CPT eligibility for student roles
Gonzaga supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for international students seeking on-campus or university-affiliated work. If you're completing a degree, explore student employment and assistantship roles that can transition into sponsored positions after graduation.
Time your application around the academic hiring cycle
