Frame your credentials around healthcare commercial strategy
GRAIL hires Business Consultants to drive market access, payer strategy, and oncology commercialization. Align your resume and portfolio around these verticals before applying. Experience with life sciences go-to-market work or reimbursement pathways is a concrete differentiator.
Target GRAIL's open roles by business unit
GRAIL posts Business Consultant roles across distinct functions including health economics, market development, and strategic accounts. Apply to the unit that matches your background precisely. A misaligned application to a generic consulting opening is less likely to progress to a sponsorship conversation.
Understand which visa categories GRAIL sponsors
GRAIL sponsors EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for this role. If you're on OPT, confirm your OPT end date and STEM extension eligibility before your first interview so you can accurately communicate your authorization runway to the recruiter.
Initiate the LCA conversation before your offer stage
GRAIL must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before any H-1B petition can be submitted. Ask your recruiter during final-round interviews whether HR has begun LCA preparation, since DOL certification typically takes seven business days but can run longer.
Use Migrate Mate to filter GRAIL Business Consultant roles by visa type
Not every GRAIL Business Consultant posting is visible across general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles filtered by visa sponsorship category, so you're only spending time on positions where your immigration status is explicitly supported.
Prepare your PERM documentation timeline early for EB roles
If GRAIL offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through the DOL requires documented recruitment efforts and can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition is even filed. Request clarity on where GRAIL is in that process during offer negotiation.

Find Business Consultant at GRAIL JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GRAIL sponsor H-1B visas for Business Consultants?
GRAIL's primary sponsored visa categories for Business Consultant roles include EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and TN. H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, your current status, and USCIS lottery outcomes for cap-subject petitions. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, GRAIL can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the lottery.
How do I apply for Business Consultant jobs at GRAIL?
Applications go through GRAIL's careers portal, where roles are posted by function and region. You can also find GRAIL Business Consultant openings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which helps you confirm your immigration status is supported before investing time in the application process. Tailor your application to the specific business unit, whether market access, health economics, or commercial strategy.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Consultant roles at GRAIL?
GRAIL sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for early-career candidates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business analyst or management consultant roles, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship. The TN category requires your role to meet specific USMCA occupation criteria, which a Business Consultant position at a life sciences company generally satisfies.
What qualifications and experience does GRAIL expect for Business Consultant roles?
GRAIL typically looks for candidates with a background in life sciences, health economics, management consulting, or payer strategy. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field strengthens candidacy for EB-2 sponsorship, which requires either an advanced degree or demonstrated exceptional ability. Hands-on experience with oncology market access, reimbursement modeling, or diagnostics commercialization is prioritized over general consulting backgrounds.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting GRAIL?
If you're on F-1 OPT with a STEM extension, you have up to three years of work authorization, which gives GRAIL time to file an H-1B petition through the lottery or pursue an EB-2 PERM process. Communicate your OPT expiration date to your recruiter early. USCIS recommends filing H-1B petitions by April 1 each year for an October 1 start, so timing your offer accordingly matters.
