Target roles tied to year-round operations
Aspen Skiing Company's Green Card sponsorships tend to concentrate in positions that support its all-season business. Corporate functions, mountain operations management, and hospitality leadership roles are more likely to receive long-term sponsorship consideration than seasonal frontline positions.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 distinction
Aspen Skiing Company has filed under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Roles requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise typically qualify for EB-2, while skilled trade and hospitality management positions often fall under EB-3. Knowing which applies to your role helps set realistic timeline expectations.
Establish yourself on a nonimmigrant visa first
Many Green Card recipients at Aspen Skiing Company start on H-1B visa or TN visa status. Demonstrating performance and commitment in a nonimmigrant role often strengthens your case when you formally request Green Card sponsorship from HR or your manager.
Raise sponsorship early in the hiring conversation
In the Sports and Recreation industry, employers often appreciate directness. Asking about Green Card sponsorship during the offer stage, rather than after starting, helps both sides align on expectations before the PERM labor certification process begins.
Use verified job search tools to find open roles
Not every job listing indicates whether Green Card sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on Aspen Skiing Company roles where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
Factor in PERM labor certification timelines
The Green Card process at most employers, including Aspen Skiing Company, begins with PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor. This stage alone can take many months. Engaging an immigration attorney early and understanding the full multi-year timeline prevents surprise delays.
Aspen Skiing Company Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aspen Skiing Company sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Aspen Skiing Company does sponsor Green Card visas. Sponsorship tends to be reserved for specialized, hard-to-fill, or senior roles rather than seasonal positions. Candidates who have already demonstrated their value in a nonimmigrant visa status are typically best positioned to receive Green Card sponsorship from the company.
Which roles and departments at Aspen Skiing Company are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Aspen Skiing Company is most common in corporate functions, mountain operations management, food and beverage leadership, and technical or specialized roles that require sustained expertise. Positions that are genuinely difficult to fill from the domestic labor market are the strongest candidates for PERM-based sponsorship.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Aspen Skiing Company?
The process typically starts with PERM labor certification, where Aspen Skiing Company must document that no qualified U.S. workers are available for your role. This is followed by an I-140 immigrant petition and, depending on your priority date and country of birth, either adjustment of status or consular processing. Working with an immigration attorney recommended or retained by the company is strongly advised.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Aspen Skiing Company?
From the start of PERM labor certification through final Green Card approval, the process commonly takes two to five years or longer, depending on your visa category and country of birth. Indian and Chinese nationals face extended priority date backlogs under EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Starting the conversation with your employer as early as possible helps minimize avoidable delays.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Aspen Skiing Company?
Standard job boards rarely distinguish between roles that include Green Card sponsorship and those that do not. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, letting you search Aspen Skiing Company openings filtered by verified sponsorship history. Focusing your search there ensures you are applying to roles where the company has a genuine track record of supporting employees through the Green Card process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Aspen Skiing Company?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
