Target roles aligned with Green Card-eligible categories
CrossCountry Consulting's accounting and auditing roles typically qualify under EB-2 or EB-3 preference categories. Focus your applications on positions that require advanced degrees or specialized expertise, as these map most directly to employer-sponsored Green Card pathways.
Raise the Green Card question after demonstrating value
CrossCountry Consulting is more likely to initiate sponsorship for employees who've proven their impact. Raise the topic during performance reviews or when transitioning from a nonimmigrant visa, not during initial hiring conversations where it may create friction.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Most EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card filings at firms like CrossCountry Consulting begin with PERM, a Department of Labor process that can take a year or more before USCIS even receives the petition. Set realistic expectations early in your conversations with HR.
Verify CrossCountry Consulting's Green Card history before applying
Confirmed sponsorship history matters more than stated policy. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize CrossCountry Consulting and similar firms with an actual track record.
Position yourself within high-demand advisory practices
CrossCountry Consulting's growth in specialized advisory services, including finance transformation and risk, tends to drive retention-focused hiring. Roles in these practices often justify the longer-term investment of a Green Card filing more readily than generalist positions.
Get immigration policy details in writing before accepting an offer
Sponsorship policies vary by office, practice, and tenure. Before signing with CrossCountry Consulting, ask HR directly whether your role is eligible and what the firm covers in terms of legal and filing fees throughout the Green Card process.
CrossCountry Consulting Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. Sponsorship is typically offered through employer-sponsored immigrant visa categories, most commonly EB-2 or EB-3, after a period of employment. The firm's presence in Accounting & Auditing means it regularly sponsors qualified accounting, auditing, and advisory professionals for permanent residency.
Which roles or departments at CrossCountry Consulting are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at CrossCountry Consulting tends to concentrate in technical and specialized roles, particularly within accounting, financial advisory, risk, and technology consulting practices. Positions requiring advanced degrees or niche expertise in audit or finance transformation are most commonly associated with employer-sponsored immigrant visa filings, as these are harder to fill domestically.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at CrossCountry Consulting?
The process typically begins with your manager and HR confirming eligibility, followed by CrossCountry Consulting engaging outside immigration counsel. From there, the PERM labor certification is filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS, and eventually adjustment of status or consular processing. You'll need to stay employed throughout.
How long does the Green Card process take at CrossCountry Consulting?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa preference category and country of birth. PERM alone can take 12 to 18 months. After approval, Indian and Chinese nationals face significantly longer waits due to per-country annual limits, often stretching years or decades. Nationals from other countries typically see shorter overall timelines once the petition clears USCIS.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
Start by searching CrossCountry Consulting directly, but also use Migrate Mate to confirm which roles at the firm are backed by verified Green Card sponsorship history. Migrate Mate filters job listings by actual sponsorship data, so you can focus your applications on positions where employer-sponsored immigration has genuinely occurred, not just where it's listed as a possibility.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at CrossCountry Consulting?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
