Job Roles at Generac Power Systems
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Generac Power Systems Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Generac's Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in engineering, product development, and technical manufacturing functions. Prioritize roles in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering where specialized skills are hardest to source domestically.
Understand the PERM labor certification timeline
Green Card sponsorship at a manufacturing company like Generac typically begins with PERM, a DOL process that can take a year or more before USCIS even receives your petition. Ask recruiters early where in the process a role sits.
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, not after
Generac's hiring managers have more flexibility on sponsorship decisions before an offer is finalized. Once you're in final-round discussions, that's the right moment to confirm Green Card sponsorship is part of the package.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Generac's sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history. Checking Generac's profile before applying helps confirm which visa categories they've actively supported and whether your target role aligns.
Align your background with Generac's growth areas
Generac has expanded aggressively into clean energy and grid solutions. Candidates with backgrounds in power electronics, energy storage, or industrial automation are well positioned for roles where Green Card sponsorship is more likely to be supported.

Does Generac Power Systems sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Generac Power Systems sponsors Green Card visas. The company files under both EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, primarily for engineering and technical manufacturing roles. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, so candidates should confirm Green Card support directly during the hiring process rather than assuming it applies to all positions.
Which roles and departments at Generac Power Systems are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Generac is most common in engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, software, and power systems engineering. Product development, manufacturing engineering, and R&D functions also see sponsorship activity. Roles requiring highly specialized technical skills that are difficult to fill domestically are the strongest candidates for Green Card support.
How does the Green Card application process work at Generac Power Systems?
Generac typically initiates the Green Card process by filing a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, which verifies that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once PERM is approved, Generac files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current, you then file for adjustment of status or consular processing to obtain the Green Card.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Generac Power Systems?
The timeline depends on your visa category and country of birth. The PERM stage alone can take one to two years. After that, EB-2 and EB-3 wait times vary considerably, with Indian and Chinese nationals facing multi-year backlogs due to per-country limits. Candidates from other countries, including Australia and the UK, often see significantly shorter waits.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Generac Power Systems?
Generac posts open roles on its careers site, but not all listings indicate whether Green Card sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsor data so you can identify Generac roles where sponsorship has historically been supported, saving you from applying blind. Combining that with a direct conversation with Generac's recruiting team during screening gives you the clearest picture of what's on offer.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Generac Power Systems?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
