- Coordinate CAPEX activities on‑site, ensuring alignment with plans and HSSE requirements.
- Track financials in SAP, including expenditures, invoices, purchase orders, and contract costs.
- Support annual OPEX and CAPEX planning by validating spend, identifying cost transparency issues, and assessing vendor pricing.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and incident reviews, supporting proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Coordinate space planning, office moves, and small to mid‑scale renovation projects across IFM, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Education and experience consistent with managing industrial facility operations (as defined in the job description).
- Experience overseeing IFM providers and third‑party contractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, landscaping, or similar services).
- Background using CMMS platforms for work orders, preventive maintenance, reporting, and asset data management.
- Experience tracking financials, invoices, or budgets in SAP or a similar enterprise system.
- Familiarity with OSHA, fire code, HSSE requirements, environmental compliance, and Permit to Work processes.
- Experience supporting facility projects such as renovations, space reconfigurations, office moves, or production support areas.

Job Roles at Hitachi Energy
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Hitachi Energy Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Hitachi Energy's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in engineering, power systems, and energy technology positions. Focusing your search on roles that require specialized technical expertise improves your odds of landing a position where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Start on an H-1B before pursuing a Green Card
Most Green Card pathways at Hitachi Energy begin with H-1B sponsorship. Demonstrating strong performance in your first few years positions you well to initiate the PERM labor certification process when the company is ready to invest in your long-term status.
Understand the PERM timeline early
The Green Card process at large energy companies like Hitachi Energy typically spans several years. Ask about sponsorship policy during later interview stages so you know where your role falls in the company's standard Green Card progression before accepting an offer.
Highlight specialized energy sector skills
PERM requires Hitachi Energy to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available for your role. Emphasizing niche expertise in areas like grid modernization, HVDC systems, or power transformer engineering strengthens the case that your skills satisfy a specialized business need.
Find verified Green Card sponsors efficiently
Not every energy employer is equally committed to Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Hitachi Energy and similar companies with a demonstrated record of filing for their international employees.
Engage hiring managers through industry channels
Hitachi Energy recruits heavily at energy and power engineering conferences and through professional associations like IEEE. Building relationships with internal engineering teams before applying increases the likelihood that your candidacy is championed by someone who can advocate for sponsorship internally.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hitachi Energy sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Hitachi Energy sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company files Green Card petitions primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, typically for engineers, technical specialists, and other skilled professionals in its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is generally initiated after an employee has established themselves in a role on a nonimmigrant visa such as the H-1B.
Which roles and departments at Hitachi Energy are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Hitachi Energy is most common in engineering and highly technical positions, including power systems engineering, software and controls development, product management, and research roles. Departments focused on grid solutions, transformers, and high-voltage products have historically sponsored international talent due to the specialized expertise these areas demand.
How does the Green Card application process work at Hitachi Energy?
Hitachi Energy's Green Card process typically follows the PERM labor certification route. The company's immigration team or outside counsel files a PERM application with the Department of Labor to establish that no qualified U.S. worker is available for your position. Once PERM is certified, Hitachi Energy files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf, followed by adjustment of status or consular processing depending on your situation.
How long does the Green Card process take at Hitachi Energy?
The overall timeline depends heavily on your priority date and country of birth. PERM labor certification alone can take anywhere from several months to over a year. For applicants born in India or China, visa backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend total wait times significantly beyond the initial petition stage. Starting the process as early as possible in your employment is strongly advisable.
How do I find and apply for Green Card-sponsored jobs at Hitachi Energy?
Search Hitachi Energy's careers page for open roles in your technical field and apply directly. To make your search more efficient, Migrate Mate lists verified Green Card sponsors so you can confirm Hitachi Energy's sponsorship history and identify comparable energy employers in one place. During the application process, avoid raising Green Card sponsorship in early interview rounds and focus on demonstrating your technical value first.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Hitachi Energy?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
