Match your credentials to PERM requirements
PERM labor certification requires your education and experience to match the job description precisely. Pull the exact role requirements from Johnson Brothers's job postings and verify your credentials align before applying, any mismatch between your resume and the filed job duties can stall certification.
Target EB-3 roles in field operations
Construction and real estate employers like Johnson Brothers most commonly sponsor EB-3 for skilled trades and site-level roles. If your background is in project coordination, heavy equipment operation, or site supervision, EB-3 is your most realistic pathway and avoids the advanced-degree requirements of EB-2.
Research prevailing wage before salary negotiations
DOL requires Johnson Brothers to pay the PERM-certified prevailing wage for your role and location. Look up your occupation's wage level using the OFLC Wage Search before your offer conversation so you can confirm the salary offered meets DOL standards and won't trigger a wage audit.
Use Migrate Mate to find Johnson Brothers Green Card history
Before applying, use Migrate Mate to review Johnson Brothers's historical Green Card filing activity by role and department. Seeing which job titles the company has sponsored before tells you where sponsorship is genuinely on the table versus where you'd be asking them to start from scratch.
Clarify sponsorship commitment during the offer stage
Ask directly during offer negotiations whether Johnson Brothers will initiate PERM within a defined timeframe. Construction firms sometimes delay Green Card filings until after a probationary period, so getting a written commitment before you accept protects your timeline, especially if you're transitioning from an H-1B visa.
Build an O*NET-aligned job description for your role
PERM filings succeed when the job duties match recognized occupational standards. Review your target role's O*NET profile and confirm the duties listed in your offer letter reflect standard industry requirements, which strengthens the labor market test DOL conducts during the PERM recruitment phase.
Johnson Brothers Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Johnson Brothers sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Johnson Brothers sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees in construction and real estate roles. Sponsorship typically runs through EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, with the PERM labor certification process handled by the company's HR or legal team. Sponsorship is generally offered after a candidate is hired and has demonstrated performance in their role.
Which roles at Johnson Brothers are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Johnson Brothers is most commonly associated with engineering, project management, and skilled trades roles that are difficult to fill domestically. Positions requiring specialized construction expertise, structural or civil engineering credentials, or licensed project oversight tend to qualify most readily under EB-2 or EB-3 criteria.
How do I start the Green Card process at Johnson Brothers?
The process typically starts when Johnson Brothers initiates a PERM labor certification filing with DOL on your behalf. Your employer must conduct a recruitment campaign to show no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. You'll need to provide documentation of your qualifications and ensure your job duties match the filed position description exactly.
How long does the Green Card process take at Johnson Brothers?
The full timeline from PERM filing to Green Card approval can run several years depending on your country of birth and EB preference category. PERM itself typically takes several months for DOL review. If you're born in a country with visa backlogs, your priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status, check the USCIS visa bulletin for current waiting periods.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Johnson Brothers?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified Green Card sponsorship history, so you can identify Johnson Brothers roles where sponsorship has been filed before. This is more reliable than asking recruiters upfront, since not all hiring managers know which roles their legal team has sponsored. Focus your applications on departments and job titles that match the company's established filing patterns.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Johnson Brothers?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
