Map your degree to EB-2 or EB-3
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's. For Rheem's engineering and technical roles, most candidates land in EB-2. Confirm which category your credentials support before targeting specific job postings.
Research Rheem's PERM-filed occupations first
Rheem has filed PERM labor certifications across manufacturing and engineering functions. DOL's PERM process requires proving no qualified U.S. worker is available, so roles with specialized technical requirements clear this bar more reliably than general operations positions at the company.
Align your resume to specialty occupation language
Rheem's Green Card filings cluster around roles requiring field-specific degrees in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Use O*NET occupation profiles to match your credentials to the exact job zone and task descriptions Rheem uses in PERM recruitment documentation.
Ask about sponsorship timeline during offer negotiation
Green Card processing at a manufacturing employer like Rheem typically spans two to four years from PERM filing through USCIS approval. Raise this during the offer stage, not after signing, so you can confirm the hiring manager has secured HR and legal alignment before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Rheem's active sponsorship roles
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified Green Card sponsorship history, so you can see which Rheem roles have active filings rather than relying on job descriptions that mention sponsorship without specifics. Start your search there before applying through general job boards.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search data
PERM requires Rheem to pay the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Pull the wage level for your role using OFLC Wage Search before negotiations. If Rheem's offer falls below the prevailing wage floor, the PERM filing cannot proceed regardless of your qualifications.
Rheem Manufacturing Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rheem Manufacturing sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Rheem Manufacturing sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company files PERM labor certifications primarily for engineering, technical, and manufacturing roles through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. Sponsorship is employer-initiated, so you'll need a full-time offer and internal HR approval before the process can begin.
Which roles at Rheem Manufacturing typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Rheem's Green Card sponsorships concentrate in mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering, along with product development and manufacturing engineering functions. Roles requiring a specialized degree in a directly related field are stronger candidates for EB-2 filings, while skilled technician and operations roles more commonly follow the EB-3 pathway through PERM.
How do I identify open Green Card jobs at Rheem Manufacturing?
Migrate Mate surfaces Rheem Manufacturing job listings filtered by verified sponsorship history, making it easier to focus on roles where Green Card filings have actually occurred rather than postings that mention sponsorship without supporting evidence. Cross-reference with Rheem's careers page to confirm current openings match your target function and location.
How do I start the Green Card process at Rheem Manufacturing?
The process begins after Rheem extends a full-time offer and internal legal counsel initiates a PERM labor certification with DOL. You'll provide credential documentation to support the petition category, and Rheem's immigration attorney manages recruitment and filing requirements. USCIS then adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition once PERM is certified by DOL.
How long does the Green Card process take at Rheem Manufacturing?
Expect the full process to take two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth and the preference category. PERM certification alone can take six to eighteen months. EB-2 and EB-3 applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to priority date backlogs tracked monthly in the USCIS Visa Bulletin.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Rheem Manufacturing?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
