About us
Solar Landscape is the leading commercial rooftop solar developer in the U.S. Only 4% of commercial rooftops host solar today — we’re changing that, fast. Commercial rooftop solar is the fastest, smartest way to build new clean power — delivering megawatts of generation in months, not years, and powering America’s energy and future right where it’s needed most. By turning rooftops into local power plants, we’re reshaping how — and how fast — energy gets built in the U.S.
Recognized as the #1 Distributed Generation Developer by New Project Media, the #1 National Commercial Rooftop Solar Developer by Solar Power World, and winner of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grand Prize for Clean Energy, Solar Landscape is defining the future of energy generation in America.
Headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Solar Landscape has offices in Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City and operates in over a dozen states nationwide.
We move fast, solve hard problems, and take our work seriously — but never ourselves. We value clear thinking, accountability, and execution. At the same time, we’re collaborative by default, and believe the best work happens when people enjoy working together. Our team is made up of smart, grounded people who show up for each other — whether that’s troubleshooting a system design or catching up over lunch.
If you’re looking to do meaningful work in a high-performance environment — and be part of the team reshaping how energy gets built in the U.S. — we’d love to meet you.
About The Role
Solar Landscape is hiring a senior leader to sit at the center of enterprise decision-making—owning the analytical frameworks, planning processes, and strategic insights that guide how the company grows, invests, and allocates capital.
This role operates at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations. You will partner directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate growth opportunities, shape capital deployment decisions, and build the systems that translate a rapidly scaling business into clear, actionable insight.
This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex, unstructured problems, and can connect detailed analysis to real-world business outcomes. You’ll work across development, operations, structured finance, and capital markets to ensure the company is making the right decisions—quickly and with conviction.
This role is based in the Northeast. Time in office is not required but strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Planning & Strategy
- Co-own the company’s enterprise financial and operating model, translating business strategy into a dynamic, driver-based view of growth, capital needs, and returns
- Lead scenario planning across key variables (deployment pace, capital markets, project timelines, working capital) to inform executive decisions
- Shape annual planning, long-range strategy, and rolling forecasts, synthesizing performance and forward-looking insights for leadership
Capital Allocation & Growth Strategy
- Partner with Development, Operations, Value Management, and Structured Finance to evaluate investments across new markets, projects, and new business lines
- Develop a forward-looking view of liquidity, corporate capital requirements, and investment pacing under multiple growth scenarios
- Assess new market entry, product expansion, and strategic initiatives through a rigorous lens of cost of capital and return
Business Analytics & Performance Insight
- Build and evolve a “single source of truth” for project and portfolio performance, linking operational execution to value creation and cash outcomes
- Define and track KPIs that matter across cost efficiency, productivity, and returns to guide leadership decisions
- Lead deep analytical dives across business units to identify risks, opportunities, and structural improvements
Executive Communication & Decision Support
- Translate complex analyses into clear, concise recommendations for executive leadership and the board
- Prepare high-impact materials including investment memos, strategic pre-reads, and performance narratives
- Frame key trade-offs and enable faster, higher-quality decisions across the organization
Capital Markets & External Engagement
- Support strategic financing initiatives, including corporate debt raises, corporate capital structure optimization, and commercial lender engagement
- Partner cross-functionally to position the business effectively with corporate capital providers
- Help expand access to capital by supporting relationships with commercial lenders, sureties, and other financial stakeholders
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead or support high-priority, cross-functional initiatives such as new market entry, organizational scaling, and major investments
- Bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive them through to actionable outcomes
- Support strategic decisions that impact financial reporting and company-wide positioning to external markets
- Evaluate internal corporate finance processes to optimize the business for scaled growth
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or finance-related positions in industry with exposure to energy or infrastructure
- Strong analytical toolkit with experience building models, structuring ambiguous problems, and translating analysis into decisions
- Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with significant ambiguity
- Experience working on strategy, transactions, or operational improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex ideas clearly
Salary will vary depending on your location and job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

Align your credentials with EB-2 or EB-3
Solar Landscape's technical roles in project engineering and energy systems typically fall under EB-2 or EB-3 categories. If you hold a U.S. bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field, EB-2 is the more direct path and avoids PERM in NIW cases.
Document your specialty occupation early
Before your PERM labor certification begins, gather evidence that your role requires a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. For solar project roles, O*NET profiles for your job title can support this distinction and strengthen your employer's DOL filing.
Target Solar Landscape's project development teams
Green Card sponsorship at Solar Landscape concentrates in roles tied to project development, engineering, and energy procurement, not entry-level field positions. Applying directly for mid-level technical or analyst roles improves your odds of landing with a team where sponsorship is a realistic conversation.
Confirm prevailing wage compliance before negotiating
PERM requires your salary to meet DOL prevailing wage standards for your job title and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level I through Level IV wage for your role before accepting an offer, so your compensation qualifies from day one without renegotiation mid-process.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Solar Landscape's LCA history
Before your interview, search Migrate Mate to review Solar Landscape's Labor Condition Application filing history by role and location. This tells you which job titles they've actively sponsored and gives you specific, verifiable talking points when raising Green Card sponsorship in the offer stage.
Raise Green Card sponsorship after an offer is extended
Asking about Green Card sponsorship before Solar Landscape has decided to hire you can stall your candidacy. Once you have a written offer, request a meeting with HR to discuss the PERM timeline, expected priority date movement, and whether the company uses outside immigration counsel.
Solar Landscape Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Solar Landscape sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Solar Landscape sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is most common for technical and project-focused roles in the company's core renewable energy operations. Green Card filings typically follow an established period of employment, and the process is initiated by the employer through USCIS and DOL channels, including PERM labor certification where required.
Which roles at Solar Landscape are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Solar Landscape tends to concentrate in engineering, project development, and energy systems roles rather than general field or administrative positions. Professionals in solar project management, electrical engineering, and energy procurement are among those most frequently supported through the EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship pathways.
How do I start the Green Card process at Solar Landscape?
The process typically begins after you're hired and have demonstrated your value in the role. Your employer's HR or immigration team initiates PERM labor certification with DOL, confirming that no qualified U.S. workers are available for your position. From there, USCIS reviews the immigrant petition. The full timeline from PERM filing to Green Card approval varies by category and country of birth.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Solar Landscape?
Timeline depends heavily on your Green Card category and country of birth. EB-2 and EB-3 applicants born in countries without significant backlogs can see the process complete in one to three years. Applicants from high-demand countries may face extended wait times due to annual visa limits set by USCIS. Starting early in your employment gives you the best positioning.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Solar Landscape?
Migrate Mate lists roles at Solar Landscape filtered by visa sponsorship type, including Green Card, so you can see which positions are actively hiring sponsored candidates. Focus your applications on technical and project-focused openings, and confirm sponsorship eligibility with the recruiter early in your conversation to avoid progressing through a process that won't support your immigration goals.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Solar Landscape?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
