Job Roles at Southwire Company
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Southwire Company Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Southwire's Green Card sponsorships concentrate in technical disciplines like electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and process improvement. Applying for roles with specialized degree requirements improves your chances of qualifying for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship.
Start the conversation early in the hiring process
Bring up Green Card sponsorship during later interview stages, not the first call. Southwire's HR team handles immigration case by case, so demonstrating your value before the sponsorship discussion sets a stronger foundation.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at a manufacturer like Southwire typically begins with PERM, where the employer documents that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Knowing this process shows hiring managers you're serious and reduces back-and-forth explaining the basics.
Position your skills around Southwire's manufacturing operations
Southwire operates large-scale wire and cable production facilities. Framing your background around supply chain, quality control, automation, or plant operations makes you relevant to the roles most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship roles
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you find Southwire job listings confirmed to support Green Card applicants rather than guessing based on job descriptions alone.
Be patient with manufacturing employer timelines
Green Card processing at manufacturing companies like Southwire can take time given PERM requirements, prevailing wage determinations, and USCIS queues. Entering a role already on H-1B status and establishing your track record strengthens your sponsorship case considerably.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Southwire Company sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Southwire Company sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. As a large U.S. manufacturing company, Southwire has an established immigration program and has filed Green Card petitions across its engineering, operations, and technical functions. Sponsorship is typically offered to employees already working at the company on a nonimmigrant visa such as the H-1B.
Which roles at Southwire Company are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Southwire tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized technical or engineering expertise, such as electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and quality assurance professionals. Positions within corporate functions like IT or supply chain can also qualify, particularly where a specific degree field is required for the job.
How do I start the Green Card process at Southwire Company?
The process typically begins after you've been working at Southwire on an H-1B or similar visa and have demonstrated strong performance. Your employer's immigration counsel initiates PERM labor certification, documenting that no qualified U.S. worker is available for your role. Once PERM is approved, Southwire files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf before you can move to the final adjustment of status stage.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Southwire Company?
The timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the visa category used. The PERM stage alone can take a year or more, and for applicants born in high-demand countries like India, priority date backlogs can extend the overall process significantly. Building a relationship with Southwire early and transitioning to H-1B status before requesting sponsorship gives you the best position to manage the wait.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Southwire Company?
Migrate Mate is a strong starting point because it surfaces roles from verified Green Card sponsors, letting you confirm Southwire's sponsorship history before applying. Once you identify open positions, apply directly through Southwire's careers page and be prepared to discuss your visa status and long-term authorization needs during the interview process. Targeting roles with specific technical degree requirements improves your sponsorship eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Southwire Company?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
