Align your credentials to PERM requirements early
Before applying, verify your degree and experience match the minimum requirements Teva will advertise in the PERM labor certification. Any credential gap discovered mid-process can restart the clock. Foreign degrees may need a credential evaluation to confirm U.S. equivalency.
Target roles with EB-2 NIW eligibility signals
Teva's research and regulatory affairs roles in pharmaceuticals often align with EB-2 National Interest Waiver criteria. If your work advances drug development or public health outcomes, build a file documenting that impact before your first interview with the hiring team.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 pathway distinction
Teva files both EB-2 and EB-3 petitions depending on the role's degree requirements. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability and skips PERM in NIW cases. EB-3 covers bachelor's-level roles but always requires PERM labor certification through DOL first.
Research Teva's prevailing wage obligations before negotiating
PERM requires Teva to pay the DOL-determined prevailing wage for your role and location. Use OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level for your job title and region before salary discussions so you understand the floor the company is legally obligated to meet.
Use Migrate Mate to find Teva's active sponsorship roles
Search Migrate Mate to surface Teva Pharmaceuticals roles with verified Green Card sponsorship history filtered by job function. This lets you target open positions in teams that have actively filed EB-2 or EB-3 petitions rather than applying broadly and asking during interviews.
Request a written sponsorship commitment before accepting an offer
Teva's HR and immigration teams handle sponsorship through established processes, but timelines vary by role level and business unit. Ask during the offer stage whether Green Card sponsorship is included in your employment terms and confirm which petition stage the company initiates upon hire.
Teva Pharmaceuticals Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Teva Pharmaceuticals sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Teva Pharmaceuticals sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based pathways. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialty roles in pharmaceutical sciences, regulatory affairs, engineering, and information technology. Candidates should confirm sponsorship availability for their specific role during the offer negotiation stage.
Which roles and departments at Teva Pharmaceuticals typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Teva is most common in roles requiring specialized technical expertise, including pharmaceutical research and development, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, and enterprise IT. Positions requiring an advanced degree or highly specialized knowledge are stronger candidates for EB-2 sponsorship, while bachelor's-level technical roles often proceed under EB-3.
How do I start the Green Card process at Teva Pharmaceuticals?
The process typically begins after you've been employed at Teva for a qualifying period. HR coordinates with an immigration attorney to file a PERM labor certification with DOL, which involves advertising the role to confirm no qualified U.S. workers are displaced. Once PERM is certified, Teva files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf.
How long does the Green Card process take at Teva Pharmaceuticals?
The timeline depends on your country of birth, the petition category, and USCIS processing speeds. PERM labor certification alone can take six months or more. For candidates from high-demand countries, priority date backlogs tracked in the USCIS Visa Bulletin can extend the total timeline significantly beyond the initial petition stage.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship jobs at Teva Pharmaceuticals?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you can identify Teva Pharmaceuticals roles where EB-2 or EB-3 filings have been made in the past. This is more reliable than filtering by job board keywords, which don't distinguish between companies that actively sponsor and those that list sponsorship as a possibility without a track record.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Teva Pharmaceuticals?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
