Target roles with long-term project ownership
Zoetis tends to sponsor Green Cards for positions tied to ongoing research pipelines or regulatory programs. Roles in vaccine development, animal health R&D, and quality assurance are strong candidates because the work demands continuity that temporary visa status alone cannot provide.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at Zoetis typically begins with PERM, a Department of Labor process where Zoetis must demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available. Getting hired early in a product cycle improves your chances of the company initiating this process on your behalf.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
Zoetis does sponsor Green Cards, but not every role or business unit participates equally. Ask your recruiter directly whether the team has a history of sponsoring permanent residence, and confirm it before signing an offer in the biotechnology division.
Use verified sponsor data to find the right Zoetis roles
Not all Zoetis job listings specify Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which Zoetis postings are realistic targets rather than applying blindly across the company.
Build internal advocacy before your case is filed
At a company like Zoetis, Green Card cases are often prioritized for employees who have already proven value. Demonstrating strong performance in your first one to two years, and cultivating relationships with your manager and HR business partner, increases the likelihood your case moves forward.
Align your background with Zoetis's specialty areas
Zoetis focuses on animal health pharmaceuticals and biologics. Candidates with expertise in veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, or biologics manufacturing are particularly well positioned for Green Card sponsorship, as these specializations directly support the company's core commercial pipeline.
Zoetis Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zoetis sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Zoetis sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company operates in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, where retaining specialized talent is a long-term business priority. Sponsorship is most common for roles in research and development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, and typically begins after an employee has established themselves in their position.
Which departments at Zoetis are most likely to offer Green Card sponsorship?
Research and development, veterinary medicine, regulatory affairs, and biologics manufacturing are the departments most associated with Green Card sponsorship at Zoetis. These functions require highly specialized knowledge that aligns with the company's animal health focus, making long-term retention, and by extension permanent residence sponsorship, a practical business decision for hiring managers in those areas.
How does the Green Card application process work at Zoetis?
Zoetis typically sponsors Green Cards through the employment-based preference system, starting with PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor. Once PERM is certified, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. The employee then waits for a visa number to become available before filing for adjustment of status or consular processing, depending on their situation.
How long does the Green Card process take at Zoetis?
The timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the employment-based preference category Zoetis files under. For applicants born in countries without significant backlogs, the process from PERM to Green Card approval can take two to four years. For applicants born in India or China, wait times in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend significantly longer due to per-country annual limits.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Zoetis?
Start by identifying Zoetis roles in departments with a proven sponsorship track record, such as R&D, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Migrate Mate allows you to filter job listings by verified Green Card sponsorship history, so you can focus your search on Zoetis postings where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than an unconfirmed possibility.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Zoetis?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
