About the Role
As a Senior Hardware Product Manager, you will lead the development of our hardware product portfolio. This is a critical, foundational role - with broad responsibility for defining, building, and launching innovative hardware solutions that enable our mission. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, manufacturing partners, and marketing teams to translate customer needs into robust hardware products, drive product strategy and roadmaps, and ensure successful delivery from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Gridware’s hardware products, from concept and requirements through development, manufacturing, and launch
- Develop and maintain hardware product roadmaps aligned with company strategy and customer needs
- Gather and synthesize customer, market, and competitive insights to inform product strategy and prioritization
- Write clear product requirements and specifications, balancing technical feasibility, cost, and user experience
- Partner closely with hardware engineering, firmware, and software teams to define system architectures and product trade-offs
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards are met
- Establish product development processes and best practices for hardware product management at Gridware
- Help define and track key product metrics and success criteria
- Serve as a key interface between technical teams and commercial stakeholders, ensuring alignment on timelines, risks, and deliverables
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of professional experience, ideally in hardware product management or closely related technical roles
- Experience managing hardware products through full lifecycle: concept, development, validation, manufacturing, and launch
- Strong technical acumen in hardware systems (e.g. electronics, mechanical assemblies, sensors, embedded systems, etc.)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you’re building processes as you go
- Excellent communication skills, able to work across disciplines and influence without authority
- Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and hardware supply chains is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-connected hardware and modern software systems
This describes the ideal candidate; many of us have picked up this expertise along the way. Even if you meet only part of this list, we encourage you to apply!
Benefits
- Health, Dental & Vision (Gold and Platinum with some providers plans fully covered)
- Paid parental leave
- Alternating day off (every other Monday)
- “Off the Grid”, a two week per year paid break for all employees.

Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation standards
Gridware's sponsorship activity centers on professional and consulting roles requiring specialized expertise. Focus your applications on positions where a specific degree field is a genuine requirement, not just a preference, to strengthen your H-1B eligibility case.
Highlight your OPT or CPT status early in the process
Gridware sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, which gives student visa holders a real entry point. Lead with your work authorization status in your application so hiring managers can assess fit without ambiguity about your timeline.
Understand that consulting firms evaluate project fit, not just credentials
At consulting and professional services firms like Gridware, hiring decisions often hinge on client-facing skill sets. Frame your experience around deliverables, client work, or technical implementations, not just academic qualifications or job titles.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the first recruiter conversation
Consulting firms vary in which roles they're willing to sponsor versus which they fill with local talent. Confirm sponsorship availability before investing heavily in the interview process, ideally when the recruiter first reaches out.
Build your pipeline beyond a single company
Because Gridware sponsors a modest volume of visas annually, competition for sponsored roles can be real. Cast a wider net across verified consulting sponsors, and use Migrate Mate to filter by real sponsorship history rather than relying on unverified job listings.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
If you're targeting an H-1B through Gridware, work backward from USCIS registration windows, which typically open in March. Starting conversations with Gridware's recruiting team in late fall gives both sides enough runway to prepare a strong petition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Gridware sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Gridware sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship track record within the consulting and professional services space. Sponsored roles tend to require specialized technical or analytical expertise that meets the H-1B specialty occupation standard. If you're targeting Gridware for H-1B sponsorship, confirm the role's eligibility early in the recruiting process.
Which visa types does Gridware sponsor?
Gridware sponsors H-1B visas and supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates. This makes Gridware accessible to both recent graduates completing their OPT period and experienced professionals seeking long-term H-1B sponsorship. TN visa holders may also find relevant opportunities given Gridware's consulting focus, though direct TN-specific sponsorship history is more limited.
Which departments or roles at Gridware are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Consulting and professional services firms like Gridware typically sponsor roles that require a specific technical or analytical background, such as strategy consultants, data analysts, and technology specialists. Roles with a clear connection between the required degree field and job duties are the strongest candidates for H-1B sponsorship. Generalist or administrative positions are less commonly sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Gridware?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find verified sponsored roles at Gridware. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces employers based on real sponsorship filing history, so you can browse Gridware's open positions knowing the company has a documented track record of sponsoring international candidates rather than relying on job descriptions that may be inaccurate.
How do I approach the application process at Gridware as an international candidate?
Start by identifying roles where your degree field directly matches the job requirements, since this is the foundation of any H-1B or OPT-to-H-1B transition. Disclose your visa status early, and ask the recruiter explicitly whether the role is open to sponsored candidates. For H-1B paths, begin outreach in the fall to allow enough time before USCIS registration opens in March.
