Armed with expertise developed through a rigorous training program, our traders provide competitive liquidity across a broad range of securities. We manage portfolios of thousands of securities and electronically stream two-sided quotes across multiple exchanges. Group One is wholly owned by its founders and employees, and all our trading is proprietary, placing both the rewards for our success and managerial oversight directly in our team's hands.

- Collaborate with the Data Platform and technology teams to identify data sources, maintain reporting infrastructure, and develop integrated solutions

- Familiarity with data visualization and dashboard platforms such as PowerBI, Grafana, or Jupyter
- Experience querying large-scale datasets; MS SQL or similar big data technologies is a plus
- Comfortable with Git version control and a Windows development environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable explanations for non-technical compliance staff
- Background in financial services, trading, or compliance environments preferred; proprietary trading firm, exchange, broker-dealer, or regulatory organization experience is a bonus

Target quantitative and technology roles
Group One Trading's sponsorship activity clusters around technical talent in trading and technology. Focus your application on roles in quantitative research, software engineering, or trading systems where the firm has a clear pattern of hiring international candidates.
Understand the proprietary trading hiring cycle
Proprietary trading firms recruit on tight, competitive timelines, often well before H-1B cap season. Research Group One Trading's recruiting calendar and apply early so your sponsorship paperwork can align with USCIS filing windows in April.
Prepare for a technical-first interview process
Group One Trading is a performance-driven firm. Interviews prioritize quantitative ability, problem-solving, and market intuition over credentials alone. Demonstrating technical depth is the most effective way to move past initial screening and reach a sponsorship conversation.
Browse verified sponsoring firms before you apply
Not every trading firm openly advertises sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on firms like Group One Trading that have an established record of sponsoring international hires.

Yes, Group One Trading sponsors H-1B visas. The firm has an established pattern of supporting H-1B petitions, primarily for technical and quantitative roles. If you're on F-1 OPT and targeting an H-1B transition, securing a full-time offer well before the April cap filing window is critical given the lottery's competitive nature.
What visa types does Group One Trading sponsor?
Group One Trading sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. This range of visa types makes the firm accessible to international candidates at multiple career stages, from students on CPT internships to experienced professionals seeking H-1B or TN sponsorship for full-time roles.
Which roles at Group One Trading are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Group One Trading is concentrated in technical and quantitative disciplines. Roles in quantitative research, algorithmic trading, software engineering, and data science align most closely with the firm's business model and its history of sponsoring international talent. General business or operations roles are less commonly sponsored at proprietary trading firms of this type.
How do I time my application to Group One Trading around the H-1B cap?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March for an April 1 filing deadline, with employment starting October 1. To hit that window, you need an offer letter and petition paperwork ready by early spring. Apply to Group One Trading several months in advance and confirm the firm is prepared to sponsor before you begin the interview process.
How do I find open roles at Group One Trading that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists positions at verified sponsoring employers, including firms in the Investment & Asset Management sector like Group One Trading. You can filter by visa type and sponsorship history to confirm eligibility before you apply, which saves time compared to contacting firms directly to ask about their sponsorship policies.
