What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary clinical resource and advocate for breast cancer patients and their families throughout the care continuum
- Conduct individualized needs assessments to identify medical, emotional, financial, and social barriers to treatment
- Coordinate care across oncology, surgery, radiology, and support services to ensure seamless patient experiences
- Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and caregivers during diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
- Connect patients with community resources, financial assistance programs, and support services
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team to optimize treatment access and improve outcomes
- Help ensure compliance with National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) standards
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience
Experience in breast oncology, cancer care coordination, or patient navigation preferred.
Experience supporting patients through oncology treatment pathways is highly valued.
Licensure / Certification
Healthcare certification that includes patient navigation training or comparable training approved by NAPBC standards.
