Match your specialty to Pediatrix's clinical focus
Pediatrix primarily staffs neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric subspecialties, and hospital medicine. Before applying, confirm your board certification or training aligns with these service lines. H-1B sponsorship at Pediatrix is concentrated in clinical roles where specialty shortages justify the filing.
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires your role to normally demand a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. For Pediatrix physician roles, your medical degree and residency credentials must directly correspond to the position. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your job title to confirm the educational requirements before you apply.
Request a prevailing wage confirmation before signing
Before accepting any offer, ask Pediatrix's recruiting team which DOL wage level they're filing under. Use the OFLC Wage Search to independently verify the prevailing wage for your specialty and location. Accepting a Level I wage in a high-cost metro can create complications at renewal.
Ask HR about their cap-subject filing timeline
Pediatrix operates across hospitals and clinics, and some facilities may qualify as cap-exempt through a nonprofit affiliation. Clarify this early. If your role is cap-subject, you'll need your petition filed in April for an October 1 start, so aligning your offer timing with the H-1B lottery is critical.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Pediatrix LCA filings
Before your interview, search Migrate Mate to review Pediatrix's Labor Condition Application filing history by role and location. This shows you which positions the company has actively sponsored, helping you target the right specialty and geographic market for your H-1B application.
Prepare your credentials packet before the offer stage
Pediatrix's immigration counsel will need your medical degree, residency completion certificate, board certification, state licensure, and CV to draft the H-1B petition. Having a complete, certified credentials packet ready at the time of offer shortens the filing window significantly and reduces back-and-forth delays.
Pediatrix Medical Group H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Pediatrix Medical Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Pediatrix Medical Group sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying clinical roles. The company's focus is on physician and advanced practice positions in neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, and pediatric subspecialties. Sponsorship is tied to specific specialty needs and facility locations, so availability varies by role and market.
Which roles at Pediatrix Medical Group typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Pediatrix is concentrated in clinical positions requiring specialized medical training. Neonatologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatric hospitalists, and related advanced practice providers are the roles most commonly sponsored. Administrative and non-clinical roles are generally not eligible for H-1B sponsorship through Pediatrix.
How do I start the H-1B application process at Pediatrix Medical Group?
Once Pediatrix extends a conditional offer, their in-house or retained immigration counsel initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL and then files the H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide complete credential documentation promptly. You can use Migrate Mate to research Pediatrix's prior LCA filings by specialty and location before applying.
How long does the H-1B process take at Pediatrix Medical Group?
For cap-subject petitions, the process begins with the April lottery and, if selected, targets an October 1 start date. USCIS standard processing typically runs several months after filing. Pediatrix may use premium processing to accelerate adjudication for time-sensitive hires. Your actual start date depends on lottery selection, petition approval, and state licensure timing.
How do I strengthen my H-1B application for a role at Pediatrix Medical Group?
Align your specialty directly with Pediatrix's core service lines and have board certification or documented subspecialty training ready before the offer stage. Confirm the prevailing wage level using the OFLC Wage Search and ensure your offered compensation meets or exceeds it. Gaps in licensure or credentialing documentation are the most common cause of petition delays at healthcare employers.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Pediatrix Medical Group?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
