Job Roles at Quest Diagnostics
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Quest Diagnostics H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles that align with Quest's core technical needs
Quest Diagnostics primarily sponsors H-1B for clinical, scientific, and technology roles. Focus your search on positions in laboratory operations, bioinformatics, software development, and healthcare data analytics where specialty occupation requirements are clearly met.
Verify sponsorship history before applying
Not every Quest Diagnostics job listing will explicitly mention H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely to be offered.
Connect your degree directly to the role
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility closely in healthcare. Make sure your application and resume clearly link your specific degree field to the technical requirements of the Quest role you're targeting, not just general qualifications.
Engage with Quest's clinical and scientific recruiting teams early
Quest's healthcare operations involve specialized departments with distinct hiring cycles. Reaching out to technical recruiters in laboratory sciences or IT before an H-1B filing deadline can surface opportunities before they're broadly advertised.
Understand Quest's timeline relative to the H-1B cap
Because Quest operates on annual hiring cycles common in healthcare, timing your application to align with the H-1B lottery registration window in early spring is critical. Confirm sponsorship intent with the recruiter well before the registration period opens.
Highlight domain expertise that's hard to source domestically
Quest Diagnostics is more likely to sponsor H-1B when a candidate brings specialized skills in areas like molecular diagnostics, clinical informatics, or healthcare software that are genuinely difficult to find in the immediate local labor market.

Does Quest Diagnostics sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Quest Diagnostics sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles. Sponsorship is concentrated in specialized areas including clinical laboratory science, healthcare technology, data analytics, and software engineering. It is a selective sponsor, meaning not every open role will come with sponsorship, so confirming with the recruiter early in the process is important.
Which departments at Quest Diagnostics are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Quest Diagnostics is most common in technical and scientific departments. Clinical laboratory operations, bioinformatics, healthcare IT, software engineering, and data science are the areas where specialty occupation requirements are most clearly met. Corporate functions like finance or general administration are less likely to support sponsorship.
How do I navigate the H-1B sponsorship process at Quest Diagnostics?
Once a hiring manager approves sponsorship, Quest's legal or HR team works with an immigration attorney to file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide educational credentials, employment history, and documentation confirming your degree aligns with the position's specialty occupation requirements.
How long does H-1B sponsorship typically take at Quest Diagnostics?
The H-1B process involves the annual lottery in March, with petitions filed in April and an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. From lottery selection to work authorization, the process takes roughly six months. Premium processing can reduce USCIS adjudication time significantly, and Quest's immigration team will advise whether that option applies to your case.
How do I find H-1B sponsored roles at Quest Diagnostics?
Start by identifying roles that match your technical background in clinical science, healthcare IT, or data analytics. Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you can confirm Quest has sponsored similar roles before applying. Always ask the recruiter directly about sponsorship availability for your specific position during the first conversation.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Quest Diagnostics?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
