Job Roles at Corewell Health Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Corewell Health Visa Sponsorship USA
Target clinical and allied health roles first
Corewell Health's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and healthcare-adjacent positions. Focus your search on nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, and diagnostic roles where international hiring is a recognized part of their recruitment strategy.
Understand the H-1B petition timeline in healthcare
Healthcare employers like Corewell Health often plan hiring well ahead of the April H-1B filing window. Reach out or apply in the preceding fall and winter to give recruiters enough lead time to initiate the sponsorship process before the cap deadline.
Ask about Green Card sponsorship during the offer stage
Corewell Health has sponsored permanent residence for qualifying employees. If long-term U.S. residency is your goal, ask directly during offer negotiations whether the role includes a Green Card pathway, particularly for EB-2 or EB-3 categories common in healthcare.
Highlight licensure and credentials upfront
Michigan licensure and U.S. credentialing are often prerequisites before Corewell Health can initiate sponsorship in clinical roles. Confirm your credentials are transferable or in progress, this signals to recruiters that you're sponsorship-ready and reduces delays.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Corewell Health's sponsorship history
Before applying, confirm that a role is genuinely open to sponsored candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Corewell Health roles where international applicants are actively considered.
Prepare for a multi-stage hiring process
Large health systems like Corewell Health run structured, multi-round hiring that includes credentialing checks and compliance reviews. Building in extra lead time and responding promptly to document requests will keep your sponsorship timeline on track.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Corewell Health sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Corewell Health sponsors H-1B visas and has maintained a consistent track record of doing so across its health system. Sponsorship is most common in clinical, allied health, and specialized medical roles. If you're targeting a position there, it's worth confirming sponsorship eligibility early in the process, as timelines are tied to the annual H-1B cap and filing window.
What types of roles at Corewell Health are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Corewell Health is most concentrated in specialty clinical positions such as physicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, and medical technologists. Research and advanced practice roles also appear in their sponsored hiring. Roles that require a specific professional degree and licensure tend to align best with H-1B specialty occupation criteria, making them stronger candidates for sponsorship approval.
Does Corewell Health sponsor Green Cards in addition to H-1B visas?
Yes, Corewell Health has sponsored permanent residence for employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories that are common in the healthcare sector. Green Card sponsorship is typically offered to employees who have demonstrated long-term value to the organization. It's best to ask about this pathway during the offer or early employment stage rather than waiting until your H-1B status is close to its limit.
How do I find open roles at Corewell Health that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter specifically for companies with a proven H-1B or Green Card track record like Corewell Health. This saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship isn't actually available. Once you identify a target role, apply directly through Corewell Health's careers portal and indicate your sponsorship needs clearly in your application materials.
How do I time my application to Corewell Health around the H-1B cap?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March, with petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. For a health system like Corewell Health, that means initiating conversations with recruiters no later than the preceding fall, ideally between September and December. This gives their HR and legal teams enough time to prepare the Labor Condition Application and petition before the deadline. Applying too close to the cap window significantly reduces your chances of being included in that year's filing cycle.
