Target clinical and allied health roles first
Corewell Health's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and specialized healthcare positions. Focus your search on roles in medicine, nursing leadership, therapy, and diagnostics, these departments have the strongest history of supporting H-1B and Green Card applicants.
Understand Corewell Health's Green Card pathway
Corewell Health sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, which is significant for long-term career planning. When applying, ask your recruiter early about their permanent residency support process, knowing their internal timeline helps you plan your immigration strategy.
Highlight specialty credentials prominently
Healthcare employers like Corewell Health face strict specialty occupation requirements for H-1B approval. Make sure your application clearly connects your degree field to the specific clinical or technical role, mismatched credentials are a common reason sponsorship requests stall.
Apply well ahead of H-1B cap deadlines
Corewell Health operates on hospital hiring cycles, which may not align with USCIS's annual H-1B registration window in March. If you need cap-subject sponsorship, start conversations with recruiters months in advance so paperwork is ready when registration opens.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every healthcare system actively sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, use it to confirm Corewell Health roles match your visa type before investing time in the application process.
Leverage Corewell's size across multiple locations
Corewell Health spans dozens of facilities across West and Southeast Michigan. If your preferred location isn't hiring, check other campuses within the system, sponsorship policies are consistent health-system-wide, and a different facility may have an active opening.
