Target roles that align with Zoetis's core science and research functions
H-1B sponsorship at Zoetis is most common in roles requiring specialized degrees in veterinary science, pharmacology, biology, or chemistry. Focusing your search on R&D, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing science gives you the strongest alignment with their sponsorship history.
Understand Zoetis's position in animal health before applying
Zoetis operates exclusively in animal health pharmaceuticals and biologics. Demonstrating genuine knowledge of the veterinary biologics pipeline, companion animal therapeutics, or livestock health products signals you're applying with purpose, not just looking for any H-1B sponsor.
Raise H-1B sponsorship early in the recruiter conversation
Zoetis recruiters handle H-1B petitions routinely, so asking early avoids wasted effort on both sides. Confirm sponsorship is available for the specific role and location before proceeding through multiple interview rounds.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Zoetis's active sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history. Checking Zoetis's profile confirms which visa types they actively file for, so you're applying with confidence rather than relying on outdated or unverified information.
Factor in the H-1B cap lottery when planning your timeline
If you're not currently in H-1B status, Zoetis must enter your petition in the annual lottery. Registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Plan your job search and offer timeline around this window to avoid missing the filing season.
Highlight specialty occupation credentials prominently in your application
Zoetis H-1B petitions must demonstrate the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a specific degree. A resume that leads with your technical degree, field specialization, and role-relevant coursework makes it easier for immigration counsel to build a strong petition.
Zoetis H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zoetis sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Zoetis sponsors H-1B visas for qualified international candidates. As a global biotechnology and pharmaceuticals company focused on animal health, Zoetis regularly files H-1B petitions for roles in research, regulatory affairs, manufacturing science, and veterinary medicine. Sponsorship availability varies by role and location, so confirming with the recruiter early in the process is important.
Which roles and departments at Zoetis typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Zoetis is most common in scientific and technical functions. Research and development, regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biostatistics, and veterinary medical roles are among the departments where sponsorship has historically been concentrated. Corporate functions like finance and IT may also see sponsorship for highly specialized positions, but science-focused roles are the primary pathway.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Zoetis?
Once Zoetis extends an offer, their immigration legal team handles the petition preparation. You'll provide academic credentials, employment documentation, and biographical information. The employer covers the government filing fees and works with outside counsel to submit the petition. Your main responsibility is responding quickly to document requests and keeping the legal team informed of any changes to your status or travel plans.
What is the typical timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Zoetis?
If you require cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, the process is tied to the annual lottery. Registration opens in March, selection results come in April, and employment can begin as early as October 1. From offer to start date, the process typically spans six to eight months when lottery timing is factored in. Premium processing can accelerate USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days once the petition is filed.
How do I find H-1B sponsored jobs at Zoetis?
Zoetis posts open positions on its careers site, but verifying which roles come with active H-1B sponsorship can be difficult from job listings alone. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can identify Zoetis roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving time and reducing the risk of pursuing opportunities that won't support your visa status.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Zoetis?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
