Verify Your Credentials Before Applying
Confirm your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and state licensure are in order before outreach. HealthPRO Heritage operates across dozens of states, and each requires its own SLP license, which affects which roles you're actually eligible to fill.
Target Facilities With Persistent Openings
HealthPRO Heritage staffs skilled nursing, assisted living, and home health sites with ongoing SLP demand. Locations with long-standing vacancies are more likely to support the time and expense of an employment-based sponsorship process than newly opened sites.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 Distinction for SLPs
HealthPRO Heritage has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for clinical roles. An EB-2 typically requires a master's degree, which most SLPs hold, but the PERM labor certification process applies to both categories and starts well before your priority date becomes current.
Ask Recruiters About PERM Timing Early
The PERM labor certification filed with DOL can take six months or longer before an I-140 petition is even submitted to USCIS. Raise the sponsorship conversation during initial recruiter contact so both sides understand the timeline before an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active SLP Openings
Search for current Speech Language Pathology positions at HealthPRO Heritage through Migrate Mate, which filters jobs by employer sponsorship history so you can prioritize roles where the company has an established Green Card pathway for this clinical function.
Align Your Clinical Specialty With Facility Needs
HealthPRO Heritage serves a geriatric patient population heavily focused on dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, and stroke recovery. Highlighting direct experience with these areas in your resume strengthens a sponsorship business case because it narrows the employer's documented recruitment necessity under PERM.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does HealthPRO Heritage sponsor H-1B visas for Speech Language Pathologists?
HealthPRO Heritage's primary sponsorship pathway for Speech Language Pathologists is the employment-based Green Card, typically through the EB-2 or EB-3 category, rather than the H-1B visa. If you're currently on a valid work authorization status, it's worth discussing the Green Card timeline directly with their recruitment team before accepting an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Speech Language Pathology roles at HealthPRO Heritage?
HealthPRO Heritage has used EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for clinical hires including Speech Language Pathologists. Both pathways require PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the I-140 petition. The EB-2 is available to most SLPs given the master's-level requirement standard for the profession.
What qualifications does HealthPRO Heritage expect for Speech Language Pathology positions?
A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), and an active state license for the location you'd be working in are the baseline requirements. Experience in post-acute or long-term care settings, particularly with dysphagia management and modified barium swallow studies, is relevant given the patient population HealthPRO Heritage primarily serves.
How do I apply for Speech Language Pathology jobs at HealthPRO Heritage?
You can browse current Speech Language Pathology openings at HealthPRO Heritage through Migrate Mate, which lists positions from employers with verified sponsorship activity so you can prioritize roles with a clear pathway. When you apply, address the sponsorship question directly in your initial communication with the recruiter rather than waiting until later in the process.
How do I navigate the timeline between a job offer and Green Card approval at HealthPRO Heritage?
The process typically runs in sequence: offer, PERM filing with DOL, I-140 petition to USCIS, then waiting for your priority date to become current based on your country of birth. For candidates from countries without significant backlog, the full process from offer to approved status can take two to four years, so starting sponsorship conversations before your existing work authorization expires is critical.
