Target technical and engineering roles first
HR Green's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines like civil engineering, environmental consulting, and planning. Focus your applications on roles that clearly require a specialized degree, these are the positions most likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
Highlight project-based experience in your application
Consulting firms like HR Green value candidates who can contribute to client projects quickly. Emphasize relevant field experience, project management exposure, or technical specializations in your resume to stand out in a competitive pool of sponsored candidates.
Apply early if you're on OPT or CPT
HR Green sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it accessible for students and recent graduates. Since OPT timelines are tight, start outreach well before your authorization window closes to allow time for onboarding and any required paperwork.
Research HR Green's regional office presence
HR Green operates across multiple U.S. states, so sponsorship opportunities may exist in locations you haven't considered. Broadening your geographic flexibility increases your chances of landing a sponsored role at a firm that operates across regional infrastructure projects.
Mention visa status clearly and early
Consulting firms with an established sponsorship track record appreciate transparency upfront. State your visa type and authorization timeline in your cover letter or initial outreach so HR Green's recruiting team can assess fit without ambiguity or delays later in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship history before applying
Not every consulting firm sponsors consistently across all roles. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, making it easier to prioritize HR Green and similar firms where your application is most likely to move forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does HR Green sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, HR Green sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of supporting H-1B petitions for technical roles in civil engineering, environmental consulting, and related disciplines. Sponsorship is generally tied to specialty occupation positions where a specific degree is required, so candidates in qualifying technical fields are the strongest fit.
Which visa types does HR Green sponsor?
HR Green sponsors several visa categories, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa. This range makes the firm accessible to a broad pool of international candidates, from students completing degrees in the U.S. to experienced professionals transferring from Canada or Mexico under the TN visa.
Which departments or roles at HR Green are most likely to be sponsored?
Sponsorship at HR Green is most common in technical and engineering functions, including civil, structural, and environmental engineering, as well as planning and project management roles. Positions requiring a specialized bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field are the most consistent candidates for H-1B and OPT sponsorship at the firm.
How do I find open sponsored roles at HR Green?
Migrate Mate lists verified visa-sponsoring employers, including HR Green, so you can browse open positions filtered by sponsorship type and industry. This is more reliable than searching general job boards, where sponsorship eligibility is rarely confirmed upfront. Filtering by consulting and engineering roles will surface the most relevant opportunities at firms like HR Green.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting HR Green for H-1B sponsorship?
The H-1B cap-subject lottery runs once per year, with registrations typically opening in March for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting HR Green, aim to secure an offer by early in the calendar year so the employer has time to file your registration before the deadline. Candidates already on OPT have more flexibility, since cap-exempt filings can happen year-round.
