Align your credentials to banking licensing expectations
Huntington evaluates Banking candidates against U.S. regulatory standards. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., get a formal equivalency evaluation before applying. Roles in commercial lending or compliance often require demonstrated familiarity with federal banking regulations.
Target roles in commercial and corporate banking
Huntington's sponsorship activity for Banking roles tends to concentrate in areas like commercial credit, treasury management, and financial analysis. Focusing your search on these functions gives you the strongest signal that the team is accustomed to sponsoring candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Banking openings
Browse Huntington's Banking roles filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. This saves time by surfacing only the positions where sponsorship has been confirmed, rather than cold-applying to listings with no sponsorship history.
Clarify your OPT timeline during initial recruiter conversations
If you're on F-1 OPT, raise your work authorization end date early. Huntington needs lead time to initiate H-1B cap-subject filings, and banking compliance processes can slow internal approvals. Starting the conversation late risks missing the April USCIS registration window.
Understand how PERM affects permanent residency timelines
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Huntington's HR and legal teams must complete a DOL PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. Banking roles in specialized functions are generally supportable for PERM, but the process typically runs 12 to 18 months before USCIS sees the petition.
Negotiate role scope to support your visa petition
H-1B eligibility in Banking depends on the role meeting specialty occupation requirements. When reviewing your offer letter, confirm the position description reflects a specific degree field requirement. A generic title like 'banking associate' may need scoping language to satisfy USCIS standards.

Find Banking at Huntington National Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Huntington National Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Bankings?
Yes, Huntington National Bank sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Banking roles. Sponsorship is most common in functions like commercial credit analysis, treasury, and financial compliance, where the role's degree requirements clearly support a specialty occupation determination. You'll need an employer-filed H-1B petition, and timing around the annual USCIS cap registration window in March matters significantly for your planning.
How do I apply for Banking jobs at Huntington National Bank?
Apply through Huntington's careers portal and filter for roles that match your background in areas like commercial banking, corporate finance, or credit analysis. Before applying, confirm the role's sponsorship eligibility by checking whether it aligns with your visa type. Migrate Mate lets you browse Huntington's Banking openings filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you can focus only on roles with a confirmed sponsorship track record.
Which visa types does Huntington National Bank commonly use for Banking roles?
Huntington National Bank sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT for Banking roles, along with Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying banking-adjacent categories. H-1B remains the most broadly applicable option for international candidates in analytical and financial roles requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher.
What qualifications are expected for Banking roles at Huntington National Bank?
Most Banking roles at Huntington require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a closely related field. Senior or specialized positions in commercial lending or treasury may expect professional certifications such as CFA or CPA. For visa sponsorship purposes, the degree field must align specifically with the role, not just indicate general business or management education.
How do I plan my timeline around visa sponsorship in a Banking hiring process?
If you're cap-subject for H-1B, USCIS registration opens each March for an October 1 start date, so an offer needs to be in place before March. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date upfront with your recruiter. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for Banking roles adds 12 to 18 months before USCIS filing, so initiating that conversation at the start of your tenure is advisable.
