Align your credentials to banking sales requirements
Huntington prioritizes candidates with financial products knowledge and relationship management experience. Before applying, tailor your resume to highlight any experience selling loans, deposits, or investment products, since generic sales backgrounds get screened out early.
Target branch and business banking openings specifically
Huntington's Sales hiring concentrates in retail branch networks and business banking segments across the Midwest. Focusing your search on these divisions puts you in front of managers most familiar with sponsoring international candidates in revenue-generating roles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Not every Sales posting at Huntington will explicitly mention sponsorship. Search for Huntington roles on Migrate Mate to surface positions where sponsorship has historically been offered, so you're not spending time on applications that lead nowhere.
Clarify your visa timeline before the offer stage
If you're on OPT, tell your recruiter your CPT or OPT expiration date early. Huntington's HR team needs enough lead time to prepare an H-1B petition or TN support letter before your work authorization lapses. The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year.
Understand how PERM applies to Sales career progression
Huntington sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for long-term employees, which requires PERM labor certification through the DOL. For Sales roles, the PERM job description must match your actual duties, so confirm this alignment with HR before your employer files.
Prepare for Series 6 or Series 63 licensing conversations
Many of Huntington's Sales positions require FINRA licenses like the Series 6 or Series 63. Having a plan to obtain these post-hire, or already holding them, signals job readiness and removes a common hiring hesitation for international candidates in banking sales.

Find Sales at Huntington National Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Huntington National Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Huntington National Bank sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Sales positions. Sponsorship is most common in business banking and wealth management sales, where specialized financial knowledge is required. Your role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance, business, or economics.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Huntington National Bank?
Apply directly through Huntington's careers portal at huntington.com/careers. Filter by department or keyword to find Sales-specific openings. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse verified sponsoring roles at Huntington before applying, which helps you prioritize positions where international candidates have a realistic path to sponsorship. Tailor your application to highlight financial services sales experience and any relevant FINRA licensing.
Which visa types does Huntington National Bank commonly use for Sales positions?
Huntington sponsors H-1B visas for Sales roles requiring specialized knowledge, F-1 OPT for recent graduates transitioning into banking sales, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations. For long-term employees, Huntington also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions through PERM labor certification, providing a pathway to permanent residence.
What qualifications does Huntington National Bank expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Huntington generally looks for a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field for Sales roles requiring sponsorship. Relevant experience in financial products such as loans, deposits, or wealth management is a strong differentiator. FINRA licensing like the Series 6 or Series 63 is required or preferred for many positions, and candidates with client relationship management experience in banking are prioritized.
How do visa sponsorship timelines work for Sales roles at Huntington?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer needs to file an H-1B petition during the March registration window for an October 1 start date. TN status can be obtained more quickly, often at the port of entry with an offer letter and supporting documentation. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, the DOL process alone can take six months to over a year before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
