Get your engineering credentials evaluated early
If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Inframark's engineering roles often require state licensure eligibility, and a delayed evaluation can stall your offer or PERM filing.
Target roles tied to government contracts
Inframark operates municipal water and wastewater systems under long-term public contracts. Roles embedded in those contracts tend to have stable sponsorship support, since the employer's workforce planning is tied to multi-year government agreements rather than short hiring cycles.
Understand the difference between H-2B and EB sponsorship
Inframark sponsors through both temporary and immigrant visa pathways. H-2B is seasonal and capped at 66,000 annually, so it's not a path to permanent residence. If your goal is a Green Card, confirm with the hiring team which pathway applies to your specific engineering role.
Align your resume with DOL prevailing wage categories
PERM-based sponsorship requires your employer to advertise the role at the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Engineering titles like civil, environmental, and mechanical each have distinct wage levels, so make sure your resume reflects the right occupational classification for the position.
Use Migrate Mate to find open engineering roles at Inframark
Inframark posts engineering positions across multiple regions, and availability shifts with contract wins. Migrate Mate filters by visa sponsorship type, so you can identify which open roles are actively tied to EB-2 or EB-3 pathways before you apply.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Ask HR whether the offer includes employer-paid legal fees for PERM and I-140 filing, and whether premium processing is available. Public sector contractors like Inframark sometimes have internal policies that differ from private tech employers, and knowing this upfront prevents surprises mid-process.

Does Inframark sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Inframark's primary sponsorship pathways for engineering roles are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas, along with H-2B for temporary positions. H-1B sponsorship for engineers is not prominently featured in their sponsorship history. If a permanent role is what you're after, the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways are the more relevant tracks to discuss with their recruiting team.
Which visa types does Inframark commonly use for Engineering roles?
Inframark uses EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for engineering hires seeking permanent residency, and H-2B for temporary or seasonal engineering work. EB-3 is the more common path for positions that don't require an advanced degree, while EB-2 applies to roles requiring a master's degree or equivalent experience. Both require PERM labor certification filed through DOL.
What qualifications does Inframark expect for Engineering positions?
Inframark's engineering roles typically sit in civil, environmental, or mechanical disciplines supporting water and wastewater infrastructure. A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is the baseline, but many roles also expect state Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility to obtain it. Hands-on experience with municipal utility systems, permits, or regulatory compliance under public sector contracts strengthens your application considerably.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Inframark?
You can browse open engineering positions directly through Inframark's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter for roles at Inframark that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect the specific engineering discipline and any public sector or utility project experience. Mention your visa status and sponsorship needs early so the recruiting team can route your application correctly from the start.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Inframark Engineering role?
For EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, the process starts with PERM labor certification through DOL, which takes roughly 12 to 18 months on its own. After that, USCIS reviews the I-140 immigrant petition. Depending on your country of birth, a visa number may be immediately available or subject to a backlog. Plan for the full process to take several years if you're from a high-demand country like India.
