Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Electrical Engineer Jobs at Integrated Power Services Jobs
Align your credentials with NFPA and NEC standards
Integrated Power Services works heavily in industrial power systems, so certifications grounded in NFPA 70E or NEC standards will strengthen your application. Document any hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, or motor controls before you apply.
Target service center locations with active openings
Integrated Power Services operates regional service centers across the U.S. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Electrical Engineer roles by location and identify which centers are actively hiring, so you can prioritize applications where sponsorship opportunities are concentrated.
Frame OPT start dates around project cycles
Manufacturing employers like Integrated Power Services typically onboard engineers at the start of project phases. When negotiating your OPT start date, confirm whether your role begins on a project ramp-up, since a misaligned start can complicate your authorized employment window.
Confirm LCA prevailing wage before your offer stage
Before signing an offer, verify that the wage aligns with the DOL prevailing wage for your specific location and job code. Integrated Power Services files Labor Condition Applications tied to specific service center addresses, so compensation can vary meaningfully between sites.
Prepare a specialty occupation case for your role
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for manufacturing roles. Document that your Electrical Engineer position requires a specific bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, not a generalist engineering degree, to satisfy the specialty occupation standard.
Clarify TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Electrical Engineer is a qualifying TN occupation under the USMCA. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, ask the recruiter early whether they'll support a TN petition, since the process is faster and avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
Electrical Engineer at Integrated Power Services jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Electrical Engineer at Integrated Power Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers?
Yes, Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers. The company operates across manufacturing and industrial power service sectors, where the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a directly related field. You should confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter for your specific service center location, since hiring decisions are made regionally.
How do I apply for Electrical Engineer jobs at Integrated Power Services?
You can browse and apply for Electrical Engineer openings at Integrated Power Services through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm which positions support H-1B, OPT, or TN before applying. Roles are posted by service center location, so search by region to find the openings closest to where you want to work. Tailor your resume to highlight power systems, motor repair, or switchgear experience relevant to their industrial operations.
Which visa types does Integrated Power Services support for Electrical Engineers?
Integrated Power Services has supported H-1B sponsorship and has also hired Electrical Engineers through F-1 OPT and CPT programs. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also be eligible for TN status, since Electrical Engineer is a designated TN occupation under the USMCA. The right visa type for you depends on your citizenship, current status, and how quickly you need to start work.
What qualifications does Integrated Power Services expect for Electrical Engineer roles?
Most Electrical Engineer roles at Integrated Power Services require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or power systems engineering. Practical experience with industrial equipment such as transformers, rotating machinery, switchgear, or motor drives is valued. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to directly correspond to the job duties, so a general engineering degree without relevant coursework can create petition risk.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on OPT and targeting Integrated Power Services?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have up to 12 months of work authorization, with a potential 24-month STEM extension if your degree qualifies. STEM OPT requires your employer to be registered with E-Verify, which you should confirm early in the offer process. If Integrated Power Services files an H-1B petition on your behalf, the earliest a cap-subject H-1B can take effect is October 1, so plan for a potential gap between OPT expiration and H-1B activation.
