INTRODUCTION
InterSystems is seeking clinically experienced product leaders who are motivated by improving how healthcare is delivered through technology. This role is ideal for professionals with clinical and/or healthcare operations backgrounds and deep experience with health information systems who want to directly influence the evolution of enterprise EHR solutions used by healthcare organizations worldwide. InterSystems EHR is a clinically focused, enterprise electronic health record platform supporting end-to-end patient care across hospitals and health systems. It delivers a unified, patient-centric record that enables clinicians and care teams to access accurate, real-time information across care settings, specialties, and departments—supporting safe, efficient, and coordinated care delivery at scale. The InterSystems EHR portfolio includes TrakCare, a globally deployed EHR supporting core clinical and administrative workflows, and IntelliCare, a next-generation evolution of TrakCare with embedded artificial intelligence. Together, they support patient administration, clinical documentation, orders and results management, medication workflows, diagnostics, and revenue-related processes within a single, integrated platform. Designed with clinician workflows at the forefront, InterSystems EHR emphasizes usability, interoperability, and clinical efficiency. IntelliCare extends these capabilities through AI-enabled automation and decision support, helping reduce documentation burden, surface relevant clinical insights, and enable clinicians to focus more fully on patient care. Built on InterSystems’ interoperable data platform, the solution scales to complex healthcare environments and supports standards-based data exchange globally. Target engineering and software roles first
InterSystems' sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles, software development, systems engineering, and data platform work. If your background aligns with their HealthShare or IRIS product lines, you're applying into the strongest sponsorship pipeline the company runs.
Understand they sponsor both H-1B and Green Cards
InterSystems sponsors both temporary work visas and permanent residency, which matters for long-term planning. If you're thinking beyond your first role, a company willing to run the full EB-2 or EB-3 process is meaningfully different from one that only handles H-1B transfers.
Apply with a long runway on your current status
InterSystems' hiring process for technical roles can be thorough. Starting your application well before an OPT or visa deadline gives both sides room to move through interviews, offer, and petition filing without pressure compressing the timeline.
Research their core product areas before interviewing
InterSystems builds specialized platforms for healthcare interoperability and high-performance data management. Candidates who demonstrate familiarity with these domains, not just general software skills, tend to stand out in interviews and align better with the roles that actually get sponsored.
Look for roles tied to their Cambridge HQ and regional offices
Most sponsored positions are based out of InterSystems' headquarters and key U.S. offices. When filtering for open roles, prioritize those locations, sponsorship activity follows where the company concentrates its technical headcount. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history.
Treat the H-1B transfer process as straightforward here
As an active H-1B sponsor, InterSystems is experienced with cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status. If you're mid-status and looking to move, you don't need to wait for a lottery cycle, make that clear upfront in your outreach.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does InterSystems sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, InterSystems sponsors H-1B visas and has done so consistently across multiple years. The company is an active sponsor with a strong track record, particularly for software engineering and technical roles tied to its core healthcare and data platform products. Candidates already on H-1B status can also pursue a cap-exempt transfer without waiting for the annual lottery.
Does InterSystems sponsor Green Cards?
Yes, InterSystems sponsors Green Cards through both the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. This makes it a meaningful long-term option for international workers who want to move toward permanent residency. Green Card sponsorship is typically initiated after an employee has been with the company for a period and is in a qualifying role, usually in a technical or senior capacity.
Which roles at InterSystems are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at InterSystems is most common in software engineering, systems development, and technical roles supporting their IRIS data platform and HealthShare product suite. Research, data science, and implementation roles have also historically been sponsored. Roles in sales, marketing, or general administration are less frequently associated with sponsorship activity.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at InterSystems?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find InterSystems roles filtered by actual sponsorship history. Rather than guessing which postings are open to international candidates, you can browse verified sponsoring companies and see roles where the employer has a demonstrated record of filing. This saves time and avoids applying to jobs that won't support your visa situation.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting InterSystems for H-1B sponsorship?
If you're applying for a new H-1B, the annual cap lottery runs in March for an October 1 start date, so aligning your job search and offer timeline to land well before the March registration window is important. For cap-exempt transfers, if you already hold H-1B status, timing is more flexible. Either way, starting early and being transparent with your recruiter about your visa situation helps InterSystems plan the petition process around your needs.
