Target roles that align with EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility
Johnson Electric sponsors Green Cards, not H-1B visas, so focus your application on professional and technical roles that support EB-2 or EB-3 petitions. Positions requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise in consulting are your strongest entry points.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship is a long-term commitment
Unlike H-1B, Green Card sponsorship signals that Johnson Electric intends to retain you permanently. Come into interviews ready to demonstrate long-term career alignment with the firm, not just short-term project value.
Research the consulting practice areas hiring internationally
Consulting firms often sponsor visa candidates in specialized practice areas where domestic talent is scarce. Identify which service lines at Johnson Electric match your expertise before applying, and tailor your materials accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Johnson Electric's current sponsorship activity
Sponsorship patterns shift year to year. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors filtered by real filing history, so you can confirm Johnson Electric is actively sponsoring before investing time in the application process.
Prepare for a credentials-focused hiring process
Professional services firms evaluate candidates on education, certifications, and demonstrated expertise. For EB-2 eligibility specifically, be ready to document how your qualifications meet the advanced degree or exceptional ability standard the category requires.
Reach out to current or former Johnson Electric employees in your field
Consulting firms rely heavily on referrals. Connecting with professionals in your practice area who have gone through Johnson Electric's sponsorship process can give you insight into timelines, team fit, and what the firm looks for in sponsored candidates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Johnson Electric sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available filing data, Johnson Electric does not have a history of H-1B visa sponsorship. The company's visa sponsorship activity is concentrated in the Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3. If you currently hold an H-1B through another employer and are seeking a Green Card sponsor, Johnson Electric may still be worth exploring, but you should not expect H-1B transfer sponsorship.
What visa types does Johnson Electric sponsor?
Johnson Electric sponsors permanent residence through the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-2 is designed for professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers and professionals with at least a bachelor's degree. If you're seeking a pathway to a Green Card through your employer in a consulting environment, these are the categories to focus on.
Which roles or departments at Johnson Electric are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
In professional services firms like Johnson Electric, sponsorship tends to concentrate in roles that require specialized expertise and where the employer has a documented business need. Consulting analysts, project managers, and technical specialists with advanced credentials are typically strongest candidates. Roles requiring niche industry knowledge or graduate-level qualifications in business, engineering, finance, or technology are worth prioritizing when targeting sponsored positions.
How do I find open jobs at Johnson Electric that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find roles at companies with verified sponsorship histories. You can filter by employer, visa type, and industry to surface Johnson Electric opportunities that are genuinely open to sponsoring international candidates. This saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship is listed as possible but rarely practiced.
How do I approach the Green Card sponsorship conversation with Johnson Electric during the hiring process?
Raise the topic of sponsorship after you've established clear mutual interest, ideally during later-stage interviews or when an offer is being discussed. Frame it around your long-term commitment to the firm rather than the paperwork itself. For EB-2 or EB-3 specifically, be prepared to confirm that your credentials meet the relevant standard, as this affects how quickly the employer can initiate the PERM labor certification process.
