Tailor your QA credentials for financial services
JPMorganChase prioritizes SQA candidates with experience testing regulated systems, not just consumer applications. Certifications like ISTQB and hands-on experience with compliance-driven test environments signal you understand the stakes of quality failures in banking infrastructure.
Research open roles across JPMorganChase's tech hubs
JPMorganChase concentrates SQA hiring in locations like Jersey City, Columbus, and Plano. Filtering by these locations surfaces roles more likely to be active and staffed by recruiting teams familiar with sponsoring international candidates through the full visa process.
Clarify visa type eligibility before your first interview
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for SQA roles. If you're an Australian citizen, confirm with your recruiter early that the E-3 pathway is available for your specific role, since processing timelines and employer obligations differ meaningfully from the H-1B.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active SQA openings
Searching broadly on general job boards makes it hard to filter for employers with a real sponsorship track record. Use Migrate Mate to browse Software Quality Assurance roles at JPMorganChase that are open to visa sponsorship, so you apply where your authorization status won't disqualify you late in the process.
Prepare for JPMorganChase's structured offer and compliance process
Once you receive an offer, JPMorganChase's legal team initiates the LCA filing with the DOL before any I-129 petition goes to USCIS. Understand that this sequencing means your start date depends on LCA certification timelines, which typically run seven to ten business days under normal conditions.
Address your OPT or status gap proactively with the recruiter
If you're on OPT or in a 60-day grace period, flag your authorization timeline in the first recruiter conversation, not after the offer. JPMorganChase's global mobility team can assess cap-exempt filing options or premium processing eligibility, but they need lead time to act.

Find Software Quality Assurance at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Software Quality Assurance roles?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Software Quality Assurance positions. The company has a well-established global mobility function that handles the full H-1B process, including the annual lottery registration in March, LCA filing with the DOL, and I-129 petition submission to USCIS. Premium processing is sometimes available depending on the role and business need.
How do I apply for Software Quality Assurance jobs at JPMorganChase?
Apply directly through JPMorganChase's careers portal at careers.jpmorgan.com, filtering by job function and location. You can also browse visa-sponsored SQA openings at JPMorganChase on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles specifically open to international candidates. Tailor your resume to highlight automated testing frameworks, QA methodologies, and any experience with financial or regulated system environments.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase sponsor for Software Quality Assurance professionals?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, EB-2, and EB-3 visas for SQA roles. The H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian, non-Chilean, and non-Singaporean nationals. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable periods. The EB-2 and EB-3 categories apply to permanent residence sponsorship for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Software Quality Assurance roles?
JPMorganChase typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field for SQA positions. Practical experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber matters more than years of tenure. Familiarity with Agile and CI/CD pipelines is expected at most levels. Senior SQA roles often require exposure to performance testing and security compliance validation in financial or enterprise systems.
How do I know if a specific SQA role at JPMorganChase will qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
A role qualifies for H-1B sponsorship when it meets USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field related to the position. SQA roles at JPMorganChase that specify a degree requirement in computer science, engineering, or information systems in the job posting are strong candidates. If the posting uses language like 'preferred' rather than 'required' for the degree, that ambiguity can complicate the petition.
