Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Cloud Software Engineer Jobs at Klaviyo Jobs
Align your portfolio with Klaviyo's stack
Klaviyo's cloud infrastructure runs on AWS and leans heavily on distributed systems, event streaming, and Python-based services. Tailor your portfolio and GitHub projects to reflect this before applying, so your technical profile maps directly to their open roles.
Pursue O-1A eligibility alongside standard sponsorship
Cloud engineers with strong open-source contributions, conference presentations, or published work on distributed systems may qualify for an O-1A. This visa sits outside the H-1B lottery, giving you a path if you don't get selected in April.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in recruiter screens
Ask the recruiter directly whether the role is approved for H-1B sponsorship before investing time in technical rounds. Klaviyo's engineering hiring moves quickly, and confirming sponsorship alignment upfront saves both sides from a late-stage mismatch.
Understand the PERM timeline for long-term status
If you're targeting a Green Card through Klaviyo, PERM labor certification with the DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Factor this into your H-1B renewal planning so you don't run out of authorized stay while PERM is pending.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Klaviyo's open roles
Klaviyo posts Cloud Software Engineer openings across specializations including platform, reliability, and data infrastructure. Use Migrate Mate to filter their active listings by visa type so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is confirmed available.
Request premium processing before your start date
USCIS premium processing for H-1B petitions guarantees a decision within 15 business days. If your offer letter sets a start date close to your OPT expiration or cap-gap window, ask your employer to file with premium processing to avoid an authorization gap.

Find Cloud Software Engineer at Klaviyo JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Klaviyo sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers?
Yes, Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers. The company has a consistent sponsorship history for engineering roles, which includes cloud infrastructure and platform positions. If you're on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, it's reasonable to raise H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage. Confirm the specific role's eligibility with your recruiter before the final interview rounds.
Which visa types are commonly used for Cloud Software Engineer roles at Klaviyo?
H-1B is the most common visa for Cloud Software Engineers at Klaviyo, used for both new hires and transfers from existing H-1B status. For longer-term permanent residence, Klaviyo supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL followed by an I-140 petition filed with USCIS. Engineers with exceptional credentials may also explore the O-1A outside the lottery.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Cloud Software Engineer roles at Klaviyo?
Klaviyo's Cloud Software Engineer roles typically require strong backend engineering experience, with hands-on work in AWS, distributed systems, and large-scale data pipelines. Proficiency in Python is common across their infrastructure teams. Senior roles expect experience owning system design at scale. A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field supports both the specialty occupation standard for H-1B and the underlying Green Card process.
How do I apply for Cloud Software Engineer jobs at Klaviyo?
You can browse and apply for Cloud Software Engineer openings at Klaviyo through Migrate Mate, which lists their active roles filtered by visa sponsorship availability. Klaviyo's interview process for engineering roles typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical assessment, and system design interviews. Prepare to discuss distributed systems architecture and cloud reliability patterns, as these come up consistently for cloud-focused engineering tracks.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take once Klaviyo extends an offer?
If you're filing in the annual H-1B cap lottery, Klaviyo must submit your registration in March for an October 1 start date, meaning the process can span six to seven months from offer to work authorization. For H-1B transfers from an existing valid H-1B, the timeline is shorter since cap exemption applies and USCIS can begin processing immediately. Premium processing reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days once filed.
