About the Team
Composer sits at the center of Klaviyo's strategy to define the future of AI-native marketing. As Klaviyo's AI-powered marketing orchestration product, Composer helps marketers move from an idea to launch-ready campaigns, flows, audiences, and content through a conversational experience dramatically reducing manual effort and making AI a true execution layer for marketers. The Native Composer team is responsible for shaping how AI agents operate across Klaviyo's core product surfaces from content generation and campaign creation to workflow orchestration, analytics, optimization, and support. Sitting at the intersection of AI systems, product experience, platform architecture, and go-to-market strategy, the team is building the foundation for intelligent, AI-native marketing workflows.
In this role, you will help define how AI agents interact with users across one of the leading marketing platforms in the industry. You'll shape the systems, workflows, and experiences that enable marketers to move faster, make smarter decisions, and execute more effectively with AI as an active collaborator. By improving the quality, extensibility, and intelligence of Composer, you'll help establish Klaviyo as a leader in agentic marketing software while driving meaningful customer and business impact. Please note this is a hybrid role that requires 3 days/week in our Boston office. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time.
The Role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for Native Composer, Klaviyo's in-app AI assistant and orchestration experience. In this role, you will define how marketers interact with AI across Klaviyo's product ecosystem, shaping experiences that combine conversational interfaces, sub-agents, workflow automation, and intelligent recommendations into a cohesive execution platform.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, and GTM teams to build scalable agentic systems that are reliable, extensible, and deeply integrated into marketer workflows. This includes defining orchestration patterns, onboarding new skills and agents, improving agent quality and usability, and ensuring Native Composer and Standalone Composer evolve cohesively where appropriate. This role is ideal for a product leader who enjoys operating in highly ambiguous, fast-moving environments and is excited about shaping the future of AI-native software experiences.
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Native Composer.
- Own the end-to-end in-app AI assistant experience, including conversational UX, sub-agent orchestration, and expansion into native product surfaces such as sidebars, inline assistance, floating action buttons, and full-page workflows.
- Partner with Engineering and Design to translate marketer workflows into scalable agentic experiences across Klaviyo's core product surfaces.
- Define the contribution framework for skills and agents across 7+ contributing teams, including integration patterns, quality standards, evaluation processes, and operational guardrails.
- Drive convergence between Native Composer and Standalone Composer where shared systems and experiences create leverage.
- Improve the reliability, usability, and effectiveness of AI-powered workflows across campaign creation, audience building, analytics, optimization, and support.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Sales teams to shape product positioning, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
- Engage directly with customers to understand emerging workflows, pain points, and adoption drivers for AI-assisted marketing.
- Define and track key product and operational metrics related to adoption, retention, agent quality, workflow success, and customer impact.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, and GTM organizations.
- Communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, and execution priorities clearly across stakeholders and executive leadership.
Who You Are
- 7–10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of technically complex or platform-oriented products.
- Experience building AI-powered products, conversational interfaces, workflow automation systems, or agentic experiences.
- Strong technical depth with the ability to partner closely with engineers on systems architecture, orchestration, integrations, and scalability.
- Track record of building customer-facing products on top of sophisticated backend or platform systems.
- Experience leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and contributing teams.
- Strong customer empathy and ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive product experiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Experience in marketing technology, SaaS platforms, productivity tooling, or AI copilots is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with evaluation systems, AI quality frameworks, or LLM-powered experiences is a plus.
This role may require up to 10% travel for purposes such as new hire onboarding, client or partner work if applicable, team meetings, and industry events. Travel is coordinated in advance.

Frame Your Roadmap Experience for SaaS
Klaviyo evaluates Product Leads on their ability to own end-to-end product strategy in a high-growth SaaS environment. Document specific outcomes you drove, including adoption metrics and cross-functional alignment, before you apply.
Confirm Your Role Qualifies as Specialty Occupation
H-1B eligibility requires your position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines. For Product Lead roles, this means demonstrating that a specific bachelor's degree in a related field is a genuine minimum requirement, not just preferred.
Target Klaviyo's Platform and Ecosystem Teams
Klaviyo's open Product Lead roles concentrate around its core email, SMS, and data platform pillars. Aligning your application and portfolio to one of these product areas signals domain fit and increases your chances of clearing the initial hiring screen.
Raise Sponsorship Early in Recruiter Conversations
Klaviyo's recruiting process moves quickly through multiple interview rounds. Disclose your sponsorship needs before the technical screen so the recruiting team can loop in HR and confirm internal approvals before you reach the offer stage.
Understand the LCA Filing Requirement Before Your Start Date
Before USCIS approves an H-1B petition, Klaviyo must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets prevailing levels. Factor four to six weeks for LCA certification into your negotiated start date timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsoring Product Roles
Search Migrate Mate to identify Product Lead openings at Klaviyo that are open to visa sponsorship. Filtering by visa type upfront saves time and ensures you're targeting roles where the company has already indicated willingness to sponsor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Klaviyo sponsor H-1B visas for Product Leads?
Yes, Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for Product Lead roles. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions for product and technology positions. Because the H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, timing your application to the April filing window is critical. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer petition avoids the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Product Lead jobs at Klaviyo?
Applications go through Klaviyo's careers page, where Product Lead roles are listed under the Product function. The process typically includes a recruiter screen, a product case or strategy exercise, and several stakeholder interviews. You can also browse current openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Klaviyo roles that explicitly welcome sponsored candidates.
Which visa types are commonly used for Product Lead roles at Klaviyo?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Product Lead roles at Klaviyo, given the role's specialty occupation classification. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Klaviyo has sponsored employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications does Klaviyo expect for Product Lead roles?
Klaviyo typically looks for Product Leads with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience owning a product area in a B2B SaaS environment. Familiarity with marketing technology, data infrastructure, or customer lifecycle products is a strong differentiator. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority is consistently highlighted in job descriptions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Klaviyo Product Lead offer?
For an H-1B transfer from another employer, USCIS typically processes standard petitions within three to six months, though premium processing can reduce this to around 15 business days. For new H-1B cap-subject filings, you'd wait until the following October 1 start date. Factor in the DOL's LCA certification step, which usually takes two to four weeks, before Klaviyo can submit your USCIS petition.
