About the Team
Composer sits at the center of Klaviyo's strategy to define the future of AI-native marketing. As Klaviyo's AI-powered marketing orchestration product, Composer helps marketers move from an idea to launch-ready campaigns, flows, audiences, and content through a conversational experience dramatically reducing manual effort and making AI a true execution layer for marketers. The Native Composer team is responsible for shaping how AI agents operate across Klaviyo's core product surfaces from content generation and campaign creation to workflow orchestration, analytics, optimization, and support. Sitting at the intersection of AI systems, product experience, platform architecture, and go-to-market strategy, the team is building the foundation for intelligent, AI-native marketing workflows.
In this role, you will help define how AI agents interact with users across one of the leading marketing platforms in the industry. You'll shape the systems, workflows, and experiences that enable marketers to move faster, make smarter decisions, and execute more effectively with AI as an active collaborator. By improving the quality, extensibility, and intelligence of Composer, you'll help establish Klaviyo as a leader in agentic marketing software while driving meaningful customer and business impact. Please note this is a hybrid role that requires 3 days/week in our Boston office. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time.
The Role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for Native Composer, Klaviyo's in-app AI assistant and orchestration experience. In this role, you will define how marketers interact with AI across Klaviyo's product ecosystem, shaping experiences that combine conversational interfaces, sub-agents, workflow automation, and intelligent recommendations into a cohesive execution platform.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, and GTM teams to build scalable agentic systems that are reliable, extensible, and deeply integrated into marketer workflows. This includes defining orchestration patterns, onboarding new skills and agents, improving agent quality and usability, and ensuring Native Composer and Standalone Composer evolve cohesively where appropriate. This role is ideal for a product leader who enjoys operating in highly ambiguous, fast-moving environments and is excited about shaping the future of AI-native software experiences.
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Native Composer.
- Own the end-to-end in-app AI assistant experience, including conversational UX, sub-agent orchestration, and expansion into native product surfaces such as sidebars, inline assistance, floating action buttons, and full-page workflows.
- Partner with Engineering and Design to translate marketer workflows into scalable agentic experiences across Klaviyo's core product surfaces.
- Define the contribution framework for skills and agents across 7+ contributing teams, including integration patterns, quality standards, evaluation processes, and operational guardrails.
- Drive convergence between Native Composer and Standalone Composer where shared systems and experiences create leverage.
- Improve the reliability, usability, and effectiveness of AI-powered workflows across campaign creation, audience building, analytics, optimization, and support.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Sales teams to shape product positioning, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
- Engage directly with customers to understand emerging workflows, pain points, and adoption drivers for AI-assisted marketing.
- Define and track key product and operational metrics related to adoption, retention, agent quality, workflow success, and customer impact.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, and GTM organizations.
- Communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, and execution priorities clearly across stakeholders and executive leadership.
Who You Are
- 7–10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of technically complex or platform-oriented products.
- Experience building AI-powered products, conversational interfaces, workflow automation systems, or agentic experiences.
- Strong technical depth with the ability to partner closely with engineers on systems architecture, orchestration, integrations, and scalability.
- Track record of building customer-facing products on top of sophisticated backend or platform systems.
- Experience leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and contributing teams.
- Strong customer empathy and ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive product experiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Experience in marketing technology, SaaS platforms, productivity tooling, or AI copilots is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with evaluation systems, AI quality frameworks, or LLM-powered experiences is a plus.
This role may require up to 10% travel for purposes such as new hire onboarding, client or partner work if applicable, team meetings, and industry events. Travel is coordinated in advance.

Frame your PM credentials around B2B SaaS
Klaviyo's product org focuses on data pipelines, customer segmentation, and marketing automation. Reframe your resume and portfolio to show experience with platform or API products, not just consumer apps. Reviewers are looking for technical depth alongside business judgment.
Target roles aligned with your visa timeline
If you're on OPT, prioritize Klaviyo's platform and integrations teams, which have posted PM roles consistently. Applying before your OPT cap-gap window closes gives the company enough runway to file an H-1B petition before the April 1 registration deadline.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in the process
Ask the recruiter directly whether the role has budget for H-1B sponsorship before your first technical screen. Klaviyo's hiring managers are generally familiar with the process, but individual teams vary. Confirming early avoids wasted interviews and misaligned expectations on both sides.
Prepare documentation showing specialty occupation fit
USCIS requires H-1B approval for roles that qualify as specialty occupations, meaning your degree must directly relate to the PM position. For Klaviyo roles emphasizing data infrastructure or engineering collaboration, a background in computer science or a related technical field strengthens your petition significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open PM roles
Klaviyo posts Product Manager openings across multiple teams, and not all of them are easy to track. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Klaviyo PM roles that have active visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Understand the PERM timeline if you're planning long-term
If Klaviyo moves you toward an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the PERM labor certification process through DOL can take a year or more before an I-140 petition is even filed. Factor that into your career planning, especially if your priority date country affects how long you'll wait in the queue.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Klaviyo sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for this function, which is consistent with how most growth-stage B2B SaaS companies staff technical product teams. You should confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early, as budget authorization can vary by team and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are commonly used for Product Manager roles at Klaviyo?
H-1B is the primary nonimmigrant visa used for Product Manager positions at Klaviyo. For longer-term permanent residency, Klaviyo has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for this function. The EB-2 route typically applies when a role requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring a standard bachelor's degree.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Klaviyo?
Applications go through Klaviyo's careers page, where PM roles are listed by product area. Use Migrate Mate to identify which open Klaviyo PM positions have confirmed visa sponsorship before applying, so you focus your effort on roles where sponsorship is already in scope. Tailor your application to show direct experience with SaaS product metrics, cross-functional collaboration, and technical platform work.
What qualifications does Klaviyo expect for Product Manager roles?
Klaviyo's PM roles generally require a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, with stronger preference for candidates who have worked on data-driven or API-integrated products. Experience with marketing technology, customer data platforms, or growth product functions is frequently cited in their job descriptions. Prior experience managing a product roadmap end-to-end is typically expected, not just contributing to one.
How do I plan my timeline around H-1B sponsorship at Klaviyo?
H-1B registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, Klaviyo would need to register you in the lottery before April 1. Cap-gap protections can extend your authorization if your OPT expires before October 1. USCIS premium processing is available and reduces adjudication time to 15 business days, which matters if your start date is time-sensitive.
