Frame Your PM Portfolio Around Identity Products
Okta prioritizes PMs with experience in authentication, API platforms, or enterprise SaaS workflows. Before applying, reframe your portfolio to highlight any work touching access management, developer tools, or zero-trust security, even tangentially.
Target Roles Labeled Platform or Enterprise PM
Okta's PM openings vary widely in sponsorship complexity. Roles tied to core platform or enterprise product lines tend to involve established hiring pipelines that have processed sponsorship before, making the process smoother than newly created positions.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Okta PM Openings by Sponsorship
Not every Okta PM posting signals sponsorship willingness upfront. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles where Okta has an active sponsorship history for this function, so you're applying where your visa situation is already anticipated.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Evidence Early
For H-1B petitions, USCIS scrutinizes whether a PM role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather documentation showing your degree directly relates to the specific product domain you'll own, not just general business or technology experience.

Find Product Manager at Okta JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Okta sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Okta sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The company has processed H-1B petitions for PM positions across multiple product areas, including platform and enterprise products. Your offer letter should explicitly confirm sponsorship, and Okta's legal or HR team will initiate the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS filing.
Which visa types does Okta commonly sponsor for Product Manager roles?
Okta sponsors H-1B visas as the primary long-term work authorization for Product Managers. The company also works with F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates already in the U.S. on student visas, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based pathways for established employees.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Okta?
Applications go through Okta's careers portal, where PM roles are organized by product area and seniority. You can also find and filter Okta's sponsored PM openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where Okta has demonstrated sponsorship activity for this function. Tailor your resume to reflect identity, platform, or enterprise SaaS experience before submitting.
What qualifications does Okta expect for sponsored Product Manager roles?
Okta typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field for PM roles, which also supports the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B petitions. Practical experience with B2B SaaS, API-driven products, or security and identity workflows strengthens both your candidacy and your visa petition. Senior PM roles often require demonstrated product ownership with measurable outcomes.
How do I understand the sponsorship timeline if I accept a PM offer at Okta?
Timeline depends on your current status. If you're on F-1 OPT, Okta can employ you immediately while filing your H-1B in the April lottery for an October 1 start under the cap. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, Okta can file an H-1B transfer, and you can start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition, without waiting for approval.
