The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Align your cloud certifications to client delivery
Deloitte's cloud engineering roles are built around client-facing delivery, not internal IT. AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or GCP Professional certifications signal you can contribute to billable engagements from day one, which strengthens your case at offer stage.
Target practice areas with active cloud programs
Deloitte structures hiring through industry practices like Government and Public Services, Financial Services, and Technology. Cloud transformation mandates are concentrated in these verticals, so applications tied to a specific practice land with more relevance than open-ended submissions.
Clarify your visa category before the offer conversation
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1 visas, and each follows a different filing path. If you're Australian or a Chilean or Singaporean national, flag your eligibility early so the recruiting team routes your offer through the correct process from the start.
Understand how project staffing affects your H-1B petition
Consulting H-1B petitions require a certified Labor Condition Application filed with DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your petition. Because Deloitte staff engineers across multiple client sites, your LCA may need to cover multiple work locations, which can extend the preparation timeline by several weeks.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Cloud Software Engineer roles at Deloitte
Deloitte posts cloud engineering openings across dozens of practice areas simultaneously, making it hard to identify which roles explicitly support visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter Deloitte's active Cloud Software Engineer listings by visa type so you're applying to positions that match your authorization pathway.
Prepare for a technical screen grounded in cloud architecture
Deloitte's cloud engineering interviews typically include a scenario-based architecture round alongside a behavioral component. Practicing cloud design problems specific to enterprise migration or hybrid infrastructure gives you a concrete edge over candidates with only product-company backgrounds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers and has a dedicated immigration team that manages the process. Because H-1B sponsorship in consulting requires a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before the USCIS petition is filed, it's worth confirming sponsorship intent with your recruiter early in the offer process so the timeline stays on track.
How do I apply for Cloud Software Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where Cloud Software Engineer roles are posted under specific practice areas and service lines. Because openings are distributed across multiple business units, you can use Migrate Mate to browse Deloitte's current Cloud Software Engineer listings filtered by visa type, which saves time identifying the roles most relevant to your sponsorship situation.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Cloud Software Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for Cloud Software Engineers, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common route for most international candidates. E-3 visa applies exclusively to Australian citizens, and H-1B1 is available to nationals of Chile and Singapore. Each visa type has a different filing process and timeline.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cloud Software Engineer roles?
Most Cloud Software Engineer positions at Deloitte require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is expected, and professional certifications carry real weight in the evaluation. Client-facing consulting experience or the ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders is a differentiator at more senior levels.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Deloitte for a Cloud Software Engineer?
For H-1B sponsorship, the full timeline from offer acceptance to work authorization typically runs several months, covering LCA certification with DOL (usually two to four weeks) and USCIS adjudication. Premium processing is available and can reduce the USCIS decision window to 15 business days. E-3 and H-1B1 visa petitions generally move faster since they aren't subject to the annual H-1B cap or lottery.
