Align your portfolio to technical audiences
MathWorks markets deeply technical products to engineers and scientists. Highlight campaign work or content you've created for software, SaaS, or engineering audiences, generic B2C experience will carry less weight here than domain-relevant examples.
Target product marketing and technical content roles
MathWorks' Marketing openings frequently include product marketing managers and technical content specialists. These roles map cleanly to specialty occupation criteria under H-1B, making them stronger fits for visa sponsorship than broader generalist marketing titles.
Confirm sponsorship intent before your final interview round
Ask your recruiter directly whether the role is approved for visa sponsorship before reaching offer stage. Some Marketing positions at large software companies are excluded from sponsorship eligibility at the team level, and confirming early saves weeks of wasted effort.
Browse current MathWorks Marketing openings on Migrate Mate
Filter MathWorks Marketing roles by visa type on Migrate Mate to see which positions have a sponsorship history. This lets you prioritize applications toward openings where international candidates have successfully been hired.
Understand the LCA wage requirement for your target location
Before negotiating an offer, check the DOL prevailing wage for your Marketing job title in MathWorks' primary locations. Your offered salary must meet or exceed that wage level for the Labor Condition Application to be certified, which is required before H-1B filing.

Find Marketing at MathWorks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does MathWorks sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, MathWorks sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Marketing roles. Positions such as product marketing manager and technical content specialist are the most common fits, as they meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements through their need for a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Generalist or coordinator-level roles may receive more scrutiny during the petition review process.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at MathWorks?
Applications go through MathWorks' careers portal. You can also browse current Marketing openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with a history of international hires. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with technical or software audiences, since MathWorks' products serve engineers and scientists, and that context matters to hiring managers.
Which visa types does MathWorks commonly use for Marketing roles?
MathWorks sponsors Marketing hires across several visa categories including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, and J-1 for qualifying exchange visitors. For longer-term pathways, the company has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship, which involves PERM labor certification through the DOL before the immigrant petition stage.
What qualifications does MathWorks look for in Marketing candidates who need visa sponsorship?
MathWorks typically looks for a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field for most Marketing roles. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to relate directly to the job duties. Candidates with experience in software, SaaS, or engineering markets are at a clear advantage, and product marketing roles often require familiarity with technical product positioning or go-to-market strategy.
How do I time my H-1B sponsorship if I'm currently on F-1 OPT at MathWorks?
If you're on STEM OPT, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify, which MathWorks is. Your H-1B petition needs to be filed during the April 1 to June 30 filing window for an October 1 start date. If you're approaching the end of your OPT and your H-1B isn't approved in time, USCIS provides a 60-day grace period after employment ends to manage the transition.
