Target engineering and technical roles first
Mattson Technology's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines tied to semiconductor equipment development. Focus your application on roles in process engineering, equipment design, or R&D where the company's international hiring is most consistent.
Understand which visa types they support
Mattson Technology sponsors H-1B, Green Card, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. If you're transitioning from OPT, confirm your target role qualifies as a specialty occupation before applying, semiconductor equipment engineering roles typically do.
Apply before H-1B cap season closes
If you need H-1B sponsorship, time your application to give Mattson Technology enough runway to file before the April 1 lottery deadline. Start conversations with recruiters in December or January to stay ahead of the cap.
Highlight hardware and semiconductor experience
Mattson Technology operates in a specialized corner of the electronics and hardware industry. Applications that demonstrate hands-on experience with semiconductor processing, thin film deposition, or etch systems align closely with what their hiring teams prioritize.
Verify open roles through a sponsorship-aware job board
Not every job posting from Mattson Technology will state sponsorship availability upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and confirm Mattson Technology is actively hiring before you apply.
Canadian and Mexican nationals should explore TN eligibility
Mattson Technology sponsors TN visas, which means Canadian and Mexican engineers in qualifying categories can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely. If your role falls under a TN-eligible occupation, this is a faster and more predictable path into the company.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mattson Technology sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Mattson Technology sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for employees in technical and engineering roles tied to semiconductor equipment. If you're targeting Mattson Technology on an H-1B, focus on specialty occupation roles in process engineering, equipment development, or related disciplines, and initiate contact with recruiters well before the annual lottery registration window opens in March.
Which visa types does Mattson Technology sponsor?
Mattson Technology sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This range of visa types makes the company accessible to a broad pool of international candidates, from recent graduates on OPT to experienced engineers seeking permanent residency. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations may also pursue TN sponsorship, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely.
What departments or roles typically receive visa sponsorship at Mattson Technology?
Sponsorship at Mattson Technology is concentrated in technical roles aligned with its core business in semiconductor equipment manufacturing. Process engineers, equipment engineers, R&D scientists, and hardware design specialists are among the positions most commonly sponsored. Corporate and administrative functions are less likely to involve sponsorship, so candidates with backgrounds in electrical engineering, materials science, or chemical engineering are generally the strongest fit.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Mattson Technology?
The most reliable approach is to use a job board that verifies sponsorship history rather than relying on job postings that may not disclose sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for roles at verified sponsors like Mattson Technology, filtering by visa type so you can confirm the company is actively hiring in your category before you invest time in applying.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Mattson Technology?
Align your application closely with Mattson Technology's technical focus areas in semiconductor equipment and electronics hardware. Demonstrating hands-on experience with relevant processes, such as etch, deposition, or thermal processing, makes your profile considerably stronger. Apply early if you need H-1B sponsorship, establish contact with recruiters before the March registration window, and confirm your target role qualifies as a specialty occupation to avoid complications during the petition process.
