Target roles in RF and semiconductor engineering
Skyworks's core business is radio frequency and analog chip design, so engineers with backgrounds in RF, mixed-signal, or wireless systems are the strongest fit for sponsored roles. Tailor your application to highlight hands-on hardware experience.
Understand that Skyworks sponsors across multiple visa types
Skyworks sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT in addition to pursuing Green Card pathways. If you're on OPT or CPT, you may be eligible to start without immediate H-1B sponsorship, which can strengthen your candidacy.
Apply before OPT expires to allow processing time
Skyworks's sponsorship process involves coordination between HR, legal, and engineering teams. F-1 students on OPT should start the application process early to allow enough runway for H-1B filing and any potential cap-subject lottery timing.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm active sponsorship before applying
Not every hardware company has a consistent sponsorship track record. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can confirm Skyworks's real sponsorship history and find open roles filtered by visa type before investing time in your application.
Highlight degree alignment in your application materials
Skyworks sponsors specialty occupation visas, which require a direct connection between your degree and the role. Electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics degrees are strong fits, make that alignment explicit in your resume and cover letter.
Explore Green Card pathways if you're thinking long-term
Skyworks has a strong track record of sponsoring both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, suggesting the company supports long-term retention of international talent. Ask about the company's Green Card policy during the offer or onboarding stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Skyworks Solutions sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Skyworks Solutions sponsors H-1B visas and is considered an active sponsor in the electronics and semiconductor industry. Sponsorship is most common for technical roles in RF engineering, analog design, and product development. The company also pursues Green Card sponsorship for longer-tenured employees, indicating a genuine commitment to retaining international talent over the long term.
Which visa types does Skyworks Solutions sponsor?
Skyworks Solutions sponsors H-1B visas, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students already in the U.S. The company also has an active Green Card program covering both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. This range of visa types makes Skyworks a strong option for international candidates at different stages of their U.S. immigration journey.
Which departments or roles at Skyworks Solutions are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Skyworks is concentrated in engineering functions, particularly RF engineering, analog and mixed-signal design, semiconductor process engineering, and product applications. Research and development roles are also common sponsorship candidates. Business, marketing, and support functions are less frequently sponsored. Candidates with specialized technical degrees and hands-on hardware or chip design experience are the strongest fit for sponsored positions.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at Skyworks Solutions?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find verified visa-sponsored roles at Skyworks Solutions. The platform lets you filter by sponsor and visa type, so you can see active openings without having to guess whether sponsorship is available. This is especially useful at hardware companies where sponsorship eligibility isn't always stated clearly in standard job listings.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Skyworks Solutions?
The strongest applicants for Skyworks sponsorship have a directly relevant technical degree, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, and experience that maps clearly to the role. Make the degree-to-job connection explicit in your resume. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply well before your authorization expires to give both you and Skyworks enough time to initiate the H-1B process before the April cap filing deadline.
