- Occasional work on weekends or holidays to support critical customers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must have software development experience in the networking industry either for a network hardware manufacturer or software integrator
- Candidates must have experience working directly with customers and support groups to triage and resolve critical in-field, in-production networking problems
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering or related (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience developing software (C, C++, Python, or Go)
- 5+ years of experience directly supporting end-customers, partners, or integrators for network equipment and infrastructures
- Experience analyzing, developing, and debugging at least 2 of the following: Linux NIC drivers, switch ASICs and SDKs, embedded network device firmware, Linux based network equipment (routers, switches, gateways, etc), network operating systems
- Expert knowledge of Ethernet and IP routing down to the protocol’s byte level
- Ability to analyze and learn evolving end-to-end systems flow, quickly learn how unfamiliar software layers are integrated, and be able to find logic bugs within an increasingly complex environment
- Passion and motivation to isolate, root cause, and resolve high impact issues with executive visibility
- Professional-level communication skills, including adjusting communication to the technical level of the audience, and staying calm and focused in negative situations.
COMPENSATION
- Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 140,000 USD - 224,250 USD for Level 3, and 168,000 USD - 270,250 USD for Level 4.

Align your portfolio to NVIDIA's deployment verticals
NVIDIA hires Solutions Engineers who can demonstrate hands-on experience in AI, data center, or autonomous systems workflows. Before applying, build a portfolio that shows customer-facing technical wins in these areas, not just internal engineering projects.
Verify your degree field maps to the role
H-1B specialty occupation requires a degree directly related to the job. For Solutions Engineering at NVIDIA, computer science, electrical engineering, or applied mathematics are the strongest fits. A business or general IT degree alone may create petition risk.
Target NVIDIA's enterprise and partner-facing job postings
NVIDIA posts Solutions Engineer roles across multiple sub-teams, including cloud service providers, automotive OEMs, and healthcare AI. Filter for postings that name your target industry segment so your application lands with the hiring team that actually owns that workflow.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active NVIDIA openings by visa type
NVIDIA's sponsored roles are not always labeled clearly on general job boards. Migrate Mate lets you filter Senior Solutions Engineer postings by visa type, so you can confirm H-1B or E-3 eligibility before investing time in a full application.
Clarify LCA wage tier expectations before negotiating an offer
NVIDIA's LCA filings with DOL lock in a prevailing wage level for your job title and work location. Understand which wage tier applies to Senior Solutions Engineer in your target office before negotiating, because the certified wage sets a floor the employer cannot go below.
Plan around cap season if you need an H-1B transfer or new petition
If you're not already in H-1B status, NVIDIA can only file a new cap-subject petition during the April lottery window with an October 1 start date. Factor this into your job search timeline so you're not waiting six months between offer and authorization.

Find Senior Solutions Engineer at NVIDIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NVIDIA sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Solutions Engineers?
Yes, NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Solutions Engineer roles. The process involves NVIDIA filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an I-129 petition with USCIS. Because Solutions Engineering is classified as a specialty occupation requiring a directly related bachelor's degree or higher, it is a strong fit for H-1B eligibility, though approval depends on your specific degree field and job duties.
Which visa types are commonly used for Senior Solutions Engineer roles at NVIDIA?
NVIDIA sponsors H-1B, E-3, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Senior Solutions Engineers. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and can often move faster than the H-1B. For long-term permanent residence, NVIDIA supports employer-sponsored PERM labor certification, which is typically initiated after an employee has established themselves in the role.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Senior Solutions Engineer roles at NVIDIA?
NVIDIA's Senior Solutions Engineer postings consistently expect a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, combined with customer-facing experience in enterprise or cloud environments. Familiarity with CUDA, AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, or GPU-accelerated workloads is a strong differentiator. Candidates who can demonstrate both deep technical fluency and the ability to communicate solutions to non-engineering stakeholders are prioritized.
How do I apply for Senior Solutions Engineer jobs at NVIDIA?
You can browse and apply for Senior Solutions Engineer roles at NVIDIA through Migrate Mate, which filters postings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When applying directly, tailor your resume to the specific industry vertical listed in the posting, whether that's cloud, automotive, or healthcare AI, since NVIDIA's Solutions Engineering teams are organized by customer segment and hiring managers look for domain alignment.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing an H-1B sponsored role at NVIDIA?
If you need a new H-1B rather than a transfer, USCIS opens the registration window in March each year for an October 1 start date. That means an offer accepted in early spring may not translate to authorized employment until fall. Build this window into your conversations with NVIDIA's recruiting team early, and ask whether your start date can be structured around the cap timeline or whether an alternative visa like E-3 applies to your situation.
