Frame your credentials around quantitative impact
Palantir's Finance function is deeply analytical, supporting complex government and commercial contracts. Highlight experience with financial modeling, FP&A, or revenue recognition rather than general accounting. Quantify outcomes wherever your credentials allow.
Research Palantir's DOL Labor Condition Applications
Before your interview, check DOL's OFLC disclosure data to understand which Finance job titles Palantir has filed LCAs for. This tells you what roles they actively sponsor and helps you tailor your application to their established hiring patterns.
Clarify cap-subject status before accepting an offer
If you're moving from OPT to H-1B, confirm whether Palantir will file your petition in the April lottery. Companies with government contracts sometimes use cap-exempt facilities, but for standard Finance hires this distinction matters for your transition planning.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Finance roles by sponsorship type
Not every Finance opening at Palantir supports every visa category. Use Migrate Mate to identify which specific roles align with your visa status, so you apply only where sponsorship is confirmed rather than following up blindly after an offer.
Prepare your I-94 and status documentation before onboarding
Once Palantir extends an offer, their HR and immigration team will need to verify your current status through E-Verify. Have your I-94 admission record, visa stamp, and any prior approval notices ready to avoid delays in the employment verification process.

Find Finance at Palantir Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palantir Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, Palantir Technologies sponsors H-1B visas for Finance positions. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for roles across its Finance function, including FP&A, accounting, and commercial finance. If you're on OPT and targeting an H-1B transition, confirm with your recruiter at the offer stage that your specific role is included in their annual cap-subject filings.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at Palantir Technologies?
Applications go through Palantir's careers portal. Finance roles at Palantir are competitive and often require demonstrated analytical ability, so tailoring your resume to highlight financial modeling, data-driven decision-making, or experience supporting technology or government contracts strengthens your profile. You can also browse open Finance positions at Palantir filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Palantir Technologies commonly use for Finance roles?
Palantir sponsors several visa categories for Finance positions, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your immigration journey.
What qualifications does Palantir look for in Finance candidates who need sponsorship?
Palantir's Finance team supports a technically complex, contract-heavy business, so they prioritize candidates with strong quantitative foundations. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is standard for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Practical experience with financial planning and analysis, SaaS revenue models, or government contract accounting significantly strengthens an application for sponsored roles.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Palantir to file an H-1B for me?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, meaning registration typically opens in March. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date against this timeline. If your OPT runs out before October 1 and you have a STEM-eligible degree, a STEM OPT extension can bridge the gap. USCIS premium processing, currently 15 business days, is available if you need a faster decision.
