Frame your apparel industry experience precisely
Customer Support roles in fashion require familiarity with wholesale order management, retail returns workflows, or e-commerce platforms. Document your experience with specific systems like SAP or Salesforce to show Perry Ellis you're operationally ready from day one.
Verify your OPT or CPT authorization before applying
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT start date aligns with Perry Ellis's hiring timeline. A gap between your authorization date and their onboarding window can delay or derail an offer before sponsorship conversations even begin.
Target roles in their wholesale and retail divisions
Perry Ellis hires Customer Support staff across distinct business units covering wholesale accounts and direct-to-consumer channels. Targeting the division that matches your background narrows the competition and increases the likelihood that your visa type aligns with their open requisitions.
Ask about H-1B sponsorship eligibility in the offer stage
Raise the sponsorship question after you have a verbal offer, not during the interview. Confirm whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, since Customer Support positions vary in degree requirements depending on scope and responsibilities.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring Customer Support roles
Search for Customer Support openings at Perry Ellis and similar fashion and apparel employers on Migrate Mate, which filters jobs by verified visa sponsorship history so you're not guessing about which postings are realistic for international candidates.
Prepare for TN status if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN classification under USMCA can cover certain management or professional roles within Customer Support. If your job duties align with a qualifying TN category, this pathway bypasses the H-1B cap entirely and can be processed at the border or a U.S. consulate.

Does Perry Ellis International sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
Yes, Perry Ellis International has sponsored H-1B visas for roles in this function. Sponsorship is not automatic for every Customer Support position, so how specialized the role is matters. Positions tied to wholesale account management or technical operations tend to have a stronger case for specialty occupation classification under USCIS requirements than general service desk roles.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Perry Ellis International?
Applications go through Perry Ellis International's careers portal. You can also browse verified open roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Customer Support positions at sponsoring employers in the fashion and apparel sector. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight brand or wholesale customer experience, since Perry Ellis operates across multiple distribution channels and hires for specific business units.
Which visa types does Perry Ellis International commonly use for Customer Support roles?
Perry Ellis has used H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for roles across their business. For Customer Support specifically, F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while H-1B sponsorship applies to candidates in more technical or specialized positions. TN is a realistic option for Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying professional categories.
What qualifications does Perry Ellis International expect for Customer Support roles?
Perry Ellis typically looks for candidates with experience in wholesale order processing, retail operations, or e-commerce customer service within the fashion or consumer goods space. Familiarity with ERP systems or CRM platforms is a practical advantage. For H-1B sponsorship, the role generally needs to require at least a bachelor's degree in a related field to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
How do I think about timing when pursuing H-1B sponsorship through Perry Ellis International?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year, with an October 1 employment start date if selected. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date gives you enough runway to get through the lottery and any USCIS processing time. Starting your job search six to nine months before your OPT expires is a practical minimum to avoid a gap in work authorization.
