POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures all fish and fish habitats are cared for in a manner that best ensures pet health and customer safety.
- Maintains a high level of animal husbandry through proper opening, daily, and closing procedures by following checklists and procedures.
- Maintains a high level of customer service and sales in the Fish Department through the use of the Petland Mission, 5-Step Sale and 4-Basic Needs sheets.
- Maintains a high standard of appearance and professionalism.
- Ensures that fish health is monitored, and proper records are maintained.
- Maintains a high level of presentation by properly decorating and maintaining the tanks.
- Conducts regular fish inventories and maintains accurate related documentation.
- Purchases and prices fish as needed using internal tools and resources.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
