Frame your credentials around delivery outcomes
PM Group's consulting context means Product Owner candidates are evaluated on measurable program delivery, not just agile ceremony knowledge. Document specific examples of backlog ownership, stakeholder alignment, and outcomes shipped across client-facing or internal enterprise projects.
Target consulting-track Product Owner postings specifically
PM Group posts Product Owner roles across multiple service lines. Use Migrate Mate to filter for positions explicitly open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already budgeted rather than negotiating it after an offer.
Align your degree field to specialty occupation requirements
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. A Product Owner position at a consulting firm typically requires a bachelor's in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field. Mismatched degrees can complicate PERM labor certification.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Consulting firms sometimes distinguish between sponsoring OPT extensions and committing to full Green Card sponsorship through PERM. Ask directly during the offer negotiation whether the role includes EB-2 or EB-3 PERM support, not just initial work authorization.
Account for PERM timelines in your career planning
If you're targeting the EB-3 path through PM Group, DOL PERM processing currently runs several months before USCIS adjudication even begins. Starting this process early in your employment tenure gives you significantly more runway before any status gaps arise.

Does PM Group sponsor H-1B visas for Product Owners?
PM Group's documented sponsorship activity for Product Owner roles centers on employment-based Green Card categories and F-1 OPT rather than H-1B. If you're relying on H-1B sponsorship for this role, confirm directly with the recruiting team during the process, as sponsorship decisions can vary by role, location, and business unit.
How do I apply for Product Owner jobs at PM Group?
You can search PM Group's careers page directly or use Migrate Mate to browse open Product Owner positions at PM Group that are tagged for visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your application to consulting delivery context, highlighting client-facing ownership experience. Flag your visa status early so the recruiting team can route your application appropriately.
Which visa types does PM Group commonly use for Product Owner roles?
PM Group has sponsored F-1 OPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Owner positions. TN is available only to Canadian and Mexican nationals. F-1 OPT has a fixed authorization window, so your start date and remaining OPT duration need to align with the role's timeline.
What qualifications does PM Group expect for a sponsored Product Owner role?
PM Group typically looks for Product Owners with a technical bachelor's degree, hands-on agile delivery experience, and a track record managing backlogs in complex program environments. For USCIS specialty occupation purposes under an employment-based petition, your degree field should directly relate to the role's core responsibilities in consulting or systems delivery.
How do I estimate the timeline for getting work authorization through PM Group?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. F-1 OPT can activate within weeks of an offer. TN is processed at the port of entry for Canadians or via consulate for Mexican nationals, often within days to a few weeks. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card paths involve PERM labor certification through DOL followed by USCIS petition review, which can collectively take a year or more before you receive permanent residence.
