What we are looking for
This Director role is central to scaling ProcDNA's Medical Affairs practice through independent solutioning, proposal and RFP leadership, and end-to-end delivery ownership. You'll operate with real autonomy — shaping solutions to underdefined problems, driving proposals and engagements forward without needing a fully scripted brief — while knowing when to pull in practice leadership for strategic or high-stakes calls rather than working around them.
What you will do
Independent Solutioning, Proposals & RFPs
- Lead proposal development and RFP responses largely independently — translating an ambiguous client ask into a credible, well-structured Medical Affairs solution, scope, and staffing approach.
- Bring structure and judgment to underdefined problems; take the first pass at solutioning rather than waiting for a fully scoped brief, then validate direction with practice leadership before committing.
- Contribute market and client signal back into how the practice's offerings evolve, in partnership with practice leadership — not as a strategy owner, but as a close-to-the-ground source of what's working and what clients are actually asking for.
Client Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Own delivery of complex, high-visibility Medical Affairs engagements end-to-end, ensuring quality, timeliness, and measurable business impact.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders (typically Director to VP level), managing the day-to-day and strategic cadence of the relationship independently.
- Identify evidence gaps and drive data-led answers to scientific and business questions, applying deep Medical Affairs domain expertise; strong analytical judgment is core to the role, with GenAI/NLP exposure a strong advantage.
Scientific Engagement (Occasional, not core)
- Direct engagement with KOLs, HCPs, or investigators is not an everyday part of this role. Occasional involvement is expected in specific contexts — for example, supporting primary market research, advisory boards, or similar client-facing research activities — but the role is not built around running field medical or investigator relationships.
Business Development
- Own proposal development, solution design, and client presentations as a core, regular part of the role.
- Build pipeline within existing and adjacent accounts by converting delivery credibility and client trust into follow-on and expanded work.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop consulting team members, setting the standard for delivery quality, analytical rigor, and client communication.
- Support hiring as the practice grows — interviewing candidates and weighing in on fit — without owning headcount strategy.
How you operate
- Strong sense of agency — takes ownership of ambiguous problems and drives them to resolution without needing to be told each next step.
- Equally comfortable escalating: proactively seeks guidance from practice leadership on strategic, high-stakes, or high-ambiguity decisions rather than guessing or going quiet.
Must Have
- 10–14+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical Consulting, or Life Sciences.
- Advanced degree preferred — PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, MBA, or Master's in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related discipline.
- Proven MSL/team leadership — experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment.
- Client management experience with VP and C-suite executives, with a track record of successful and continued business development.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset — exposure to data analysis is required; GenAI/NLP experience is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and influence senior client and internal audiences.
- Willingness to travel to client locations to support client engagements, scientific meetings, and business development initiatives.

Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
ProcDNA's sponsorship activity centers on technology and software roles that qualify as specialty occupations. Focus your application on positions requiring a relevant degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related technical field to strengthen your H-1B case.
Leverage your F-1 OPT or CPT as a foot in the door
ProcDNA sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, which means you may not need H-1B sponsorship on day one. Starting on OPT gives you time to demonstrate value before your employer files your H-1B petition, reducing perceived risk.
Apply before H-1B cap season to maximize your chances
H-1B registrations open in March each year. To be included, you'll need a job offer before the registration window closes. Start targeting ProcDNA roles in Q4 or early Q1 so your offer is in place well ahead of the deadline.
Position yourself as a specialist, not a generalist
Technology and software companies like ProcDNA sponsor roles where specialized skills are hard to source locally. Highlight niche technical expertise, specific programming languages, platforms, or methodologies, to stand out as a candidate who's difficult to replace with a domestic hire.
Filter for verified sponsors when searching for roles
Not every job posting mentions visa sponsorship clearly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time and ensuring ProcDNA's open roles are confirmed sponsor-eligible before you apply.
Understand TN eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
ProcDNA sponsors TN visas, which are faster and simpler than H-1B for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals. If your role falls under a TN-eligible category like engineer or computer systems analyst, this pathway deserves serious consideration alongside H-1B.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ProcDNA sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, ProcDNA sponsors H-1B visas and has an active track record of doing so within the technology and software industry. The company has consistently filed H-1B petitions, making it a realistic target for international candidates in technical roles. Applying early and securing your offer before H-1B registration season in March is the most reliable strategy.
What visa types does ProcDNA sponsor?
ProcDNA sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range is particularly useful for international candidates at different stages of their career, students on CPT can gain early experience, OPT holders can transition into full sponsorship, and TN is available for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible occupations.
Which roles at ProcDNA are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at technology and software companies like ProcDNA tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized technical skills, software engineering, data analytics, product development, and similar positions. These roles most reliably meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B classification, which is why technical candidates tend to have the strongest sponsorship outcomes at companies in this industry.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at ProcDNA?
The most reliable way to find sponsored roles at ProcDNA is through Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history and surfaces open positions from companies with a confirmed track record. This filters out employers who claim to sponsor but rarely follow through, saving you significant time in your job search.
How do I time my application to ProcDNA around the H-1B deadline?
H-1B registration opens in early March each year, and USCIS requires your employer to register your petition before the window closes. To meet this deadline, you'll need a job offer in hand by February at the latest. Start applying to ProcDNA roles in Q4 of the prior year so there's enough runway to complete interviews, negotiate your offer, and allow HR to prepare your registration materials on time.
