Align your credentials to real property operations
Progress Residential's Manufacturing work ties directly to maintaining and turning over rental properties at scale. Frame your resume around facilities maintenance, production workflows, or property infrastructure rather than traditional factory or discrete manufacturing environments.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before applying
Progress Residential participates in E-Verify, which is required for employers sponsoring work visas. Knowing this upfront tells you the company already has the compliance infrastructure in place, so you're not applying to an employer who'd need to build that from scratch.
Target roles that demonstrate a specialty occupation need
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Focus on Manufacturing positions that specify a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field in the job description, not general labor or trades-only postings.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Manufacturing roles
Progress Residential posts Manufacturing openings across multiple markets. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsorship-eligible roles at this company so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is already on the table.
Raise sponsorship early in the recruiter conversation
Don't wait until an offer is extended to ask about visa sponsorship. During your first recruiter screen, ask directly whether the Manufacturing role is open to sponsored candidates. This saves both sides time and avoids reaching the offer stage only to learn sponsorship isn't approved for that position.
Understand the H-1B cap timeline before your interview
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March and the employment start date is October 1. Knowing this timeline lets you discuss it clearly with a hiring manager so neither side is surprised by the gap between offer and start date.

Find Manufacturing at Progress Residential JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Progress Residential sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturings?
Yes, Progress Residential has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in Manufacturing-related roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so confirm with the recruiter early in the process. H-1B eligibility also requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically means the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Progress Residential?
You can browse and apply for Manufacturing openings at Progress Residential directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your application to reflect experience with large-scale property operations or facilities management, since that's the operational context Progress Residential hires into.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing roles at Progress Residential?
Progress Residential sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Manufacturing positions, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from U.S. degree programs. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals working in eligible professional categories. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree level, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does Progress Residential expect for Manufacturing roles?
Progress Residential's Manufacturing roles in the Construction and Real Estate space typically favor candidates with backgrounds in facilities management, construction operations, or industrial engineering. For visa-sponsored positions, a relevant bachelor's degree is generally required to meet USCIS's specialty occupation threshold. Hands-on experience with property maintenance systems, production scheduling, or operational infrastructure strengthens your application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Manufacturing role at Progress Residential?
If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship, plan around USCIS's annual registration window in March and an October 1 start date. For F-1 OPT candidates, your employment authorization must be active before your start date, and the 60-day grace period following a previous job does not extend your OPT clock. Discuss your specific timeline with your recruiter before an offer is finalized so the company can plan the filing accordingly.
