Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Product Engineer Jobs at Pure Storage Jobs
Align your portfolio to Pure Storage's stack
Pure Storage Product Engineers work across storage systems, distributed infrastructure, and hardware-software co-design. Before applying, document projects that touch these areas specifically. Generic software portfolios get screened out early at hardware-adjacent companies like Pure Storage.
Target roles that match your visa timeline
F-1 OPT gives you up to 36 months of work authorization if you're in a STEM field, which covers most Product Engineer roles at Pure Storage. Apply at least three months before your current authorization expires so filing timelines don't put your start date at risk.
Confirm sponsorship before the offer stage
Pure Storage sponsors multiple visa types for Product Engineers, but individual hiring managers don't always know the details. Ask the recruiter directly during early screening which visa types the team has filed for this role category, so you're not negotiating blind at the offer stage.
Understand the LCA filing requirement
Before Pure Storage can file your H-1B petition, DOL must certify a Labor Condition Application confirming your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your location. This happens before USCIS sees your case, so any offer-to-petition delays often trace back to this step.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Product Engineer roles
Not all Product Engineer postings at Pure Storage are visa-sponsorship-eligible. Use Migrate Mate to browse current openings filtered by sponsorship type so you're only spending time on roles where your visa category is a realistic fit.
Prepare for technical depth in interviews
Pure Storage Product Engineer interviews go deep on systems design, storage protocols, and cross-functional tradeoffs between hardware and software. Candidates who demonstrate understanding of how engineering decisions affect product reliability stand out over candidates with general software backgrounds.

Find Product Engineer at Pure Storage JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Pure Storage sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Pure Storage sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineers. The company has an established process for filing H-1B petitions through its legal and HR teams. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, confirm with the recruiter early in the process that the specific role you're targeting is approved for H-1B sponsorship, since not every open position automatically qualifies.
Which visa types does Pure Storage sponsor for Product Engineer roles?
Pure Storage sponsors a range of visa types for Product Engineers, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for students in STEM programs, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa for you depends on your citizenship, education, and current immigration status. Confirming eligibility with the recruiter before the offer stage saves time for both sides.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Pure Storage?
Applications go through Pure Storage's careers portal at purestorage.com/company/careers. Filter by engineering roles and look for Product Engineer titles across hardware, firmware, or platform teams. You can also find sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters Pure Storage jobs by visa type so you can focus on roles that match your immigration status. Tailor your resume to Pure Storage's storage infrastructure focus before submitting.
What qualifications does Pure Storage expect for Product Engineer roles?
Pure Storage Product Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. Beyond the degree, the company looks for hands-on experience with storage systems, firmware development, or hardware-software integration. Experience with distributed systems or flash storage technology is a strong differentiator. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to align directly with the job duties to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I time my application if I need H-1B sponsorship?
If you need an H-1B and don't already have one, the main cap-subject filing window opens in March for an October 1 start date. That means if you're interviewing in late 2025 or early 2026, a cap-subject H-1B wouldn't make you work-authorized until October 2026. Plan your job search with that gap in mind. If you're currently on OPT, your employer can file a cap-gap extension to bridge the period between OPT expiration and H-1B activation.
