Obtain PMP or CCM Certification Before Applying
Quanta's Construction Manager roles typically require documented project oversight credentials. A PMP or Certified Construction Manager designation strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case by showing your role demands specialized knowledge beyond general site supervision.
Target Quanta's Transmission and Substation Divisions
Quanta's open Construction Manager positions are concentrated in energy transmission and substation work. Framing your resume around high-voltage infrastructure, OSHA compliance, and subcontractor coordination aligns directly with the division most actively hiring for this role.
Confirm TN Eligibility If You Hold Canadian Citizenship
Construction Manager can qualify under the TN visa category for Canadian citizens if the role meets the engineer or management consultant definition. Confirm the job description language with your employer before applying, since DOL classification affects which TN subcategory applies.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Quanta's Open Roles by Visa Type
Quanta posts Construction Manager openings across multiple states and divisions. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Quanta that align with your visa status, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Align Your Offer Letter Language with Specialty Occupation Standards
When negotiating your offer, confirm the job description explicitly states that a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required. USCIS scrutinizes Construction Manager H-1B petitions heavily, and vague job duty language increases RFE risk.
Account for F-1 OPT Cap-Gap If Your Program Ends Mid-Project
If you're on F-1 OPT and Quanta files an H-1B petition before your OPT expires, the cap-gap provision protects your work authorization through September 30. Plan project start dates with this window in mind to avoid gaps in your ability to work on active job sites.

Find Construction Manager at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Managers?
Yes, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Construction Manager roles. Because H-1B petitions for this role face USCIS scrutiny over specialty occupation classification, the strongest applications come from candidates with a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering and documented experience managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
How do I apply for Construction Manager jobs at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
Quanta posts Construction Manager openings through its careers portal, and roles are distributed across multiple subsidiaries and regions. Migrate Mate aggregates Quanta's visa-sponsoring positions in one place, making it easier to identify which openings are active and relevant to your visa status. Tailor your application to highlight energy sector project experience and field leadership.
Which visa types does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group commonly use for Construction Manager roles?
Quanta has sponsored H-1B visas and supported F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for Construction Manager positions. Canadian citizens may also qualify under the TN visa category depending on how the role is classified by DOL. The right visa type depends on your citizenship, current status, and the specific job description offered.
What qualifications does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group expect from Construction Manager candidates?
Quanta's Construction Manager roles in the energy sector typically require a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on experience overseeing transmission, substation, or utility-scale energy projects. OSHA certification, subcontractor management experience, and familiarity with project scheduling software are commonly listed requirements across open postings.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for a Construction Manager role at Quanta?
For H-1B sponsorship, Quanta would need to file an LCA with the DOL, then submit the H-1B petition to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing runs several months, while premium processing reduces that to roughly 15 business days. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer can file before your authorization expires and the cap-gap provision may cover the interim period through September 30.
