Frame your credentials around infrastructure engineering
Quanta's Project Engineer roles sit at the intersection of field execution and technical oversight. Highlight experience with construction management, substation work, or transmission line projects on your resume before you apply, since generic engineering credentials won't stand out.
Target roles tied to active project pipelines
Quanta staffs Project Engineers against specific contracts, so openings reflect real project demand in regions with active grid modernization or renewable integration work. Filter your search by geography, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the project or regional level.
Clarify your visa status early in screening calls
TN visa holders in engineering disciplines can move faster through Quanta's hiring process than H-1B candidates requiring a new petition. Stating your status upfront, and whether you need a transfer or a new filing, prevents delays when the team moves quickly to staff a project.
Understand how OPT timelines interact with project start dates
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your authorization end date against the project's anticipated mobilization date. USCIS recommends filing OPT extensions well before expiration, and Quanta's project schedules rarely flex to accommodate authorization gaps.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Project Engineer openings
Quanta posts Project Engineer roles across many regions simultaneously, and listings turn over quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for positions open to your visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already on the table.
Prepare your LCA documentation before an offer is extended
Quanta's H-1B filings require a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS can process the petition. Asking your future employer which prevailing wage level applies to your specific role and location helps you anticipate timeline and avoid surprises after the offer stage.

Find Project Engineer at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineers?
Yes, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group does sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineer roles. The company operates across large-scale energy infrastructure projects where specialized engineering talent is in demand, and it has an established pattern of supporting work visa petitions for this function. Your sponsorship eligibility will depend on project location, role scope, and timing relative to the H-1B cap and lottery cycle.
How do I apply for Project Engineer jobs at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
You can apply directly through Quanta's careers portal or browse their open Project Engineer listings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to the specific energy discipline and region listed, since Project Engineer openings at Quanta are tied to active contracts rather than general headcount. Following up with a regional recruiter can help when listings move fast.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Engineer roles at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
Quanta sponsors H-1B visas for Project Engineers requiring a full petition, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for qualifying engineering roles. Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering qualifications should also explore the TN visa, which covers engineers under USMCA and can be processed at the border without a USCIS filing, making it a faster path in many cases.
What qualifications does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group expect for Project Engineer candidates?
Quanta typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, often with field experience in power delivery, transmission, or energy construction. Familiarity with project scheduling tools, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance is valued. For visa purposes, your degree must align closely with the role's technical scope to satisfy the H-1B specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines.
How do I time a visa filing if I receive a Project Engineer offer from Quanta?
If you're on OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window against your expected start date and file for any extension immediately. For H-1B transfers from another employer, work with Quanta's immigration team to file a concurrent or portability petition so you can start without a gap. USCIS premium processing, which runs 15 business days, is worth discussing with Quanta for time-sensitive project mobilizations.
