Align your credentials with PE licensure expectations
Quanta's energy infrastructure projects often require or strongly prefer a Professional Engineer license. If you're foreign-educated, get your credentials evaluated by NCEES before applying so your application isn't deprioritized during initial screening.
Target roles tied to active transmission projects
Quanta staffs up around awarded utility and transmission contracts, so structural openings tied to specific project pipelines move faster. Filter your job search by project type and region to find roles most likely to convert an offer quickly.
Confirm TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Structural Engineering qualifies as an Engineer category under TN status. If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN processing is faster than H-1B and avoids the lottery entirely, which can make you a more straightforward hire for Quanta's project timelines.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Quanta posts structural roles across multiple states and project types. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for positions where your visa category is supported, so you're only spending time on applications that are actually viable for your situation.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage documentation early
H-1B sponsorship requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application certifying your wage meets DOL prevailing wage standards for the role's location. For field-based structural roles, wage levels can shift by state, so confirm the offer reflects the correct geographic rate.

Find Structural Engineer at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Structural Engineers?
Yes, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for Structural Engineer roles. The company operates across energy and utility infrastructure projects that commonly require specialized engineering talent, and H-1B sponsorship is part of how they bring in qualified candidates. Because H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, timing your application and offer relative to the April filing window matters significantly for your planning.
Which visa types are commonly used for Structural Engineer roles at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
Quanta sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Structural Engineer positions. F-1 OPT and CPT work well for recent engineering graduates entering early-career roles, while H-1B is the standard long-term path for foreign nationals. Canadian and Mexican citizens can use TN status under the Engineer category, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be arranged more quickly.
What qualifications or experience does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group expect for Structural Engineer roles?
Quanta typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering for these roles. Experience with transmission structures, substations, or heavy civil infrastructure is a strong differentiator given the company's project focus. A Professional Engineer license, or active progress toward one, is valued across many of their structural positions, particularly those involving design sign-off responsibilities on energy infrastructure projects.
How do I apply for Structural Engineer jobs at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
You can browse and apply for Structural Engineer openings at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group through Migrate Mate, which lists roles filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your category is supported before applying. When you apply, be upfront about your visa status and timeline, especially if you're on OPT with a fixed expiration date, so the hiring team can assess fit against their project schedule.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing process at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, with the cap subject lottery typically completing by late March. To be included, you need an employer willing to register you before that window closes. If you're targeting Quanta, you'd need an offer or serious hiring process underway by February at the latest, allowing time for registration, lottery selection, and the April 1 filing period for an October 1 start date.
