INTRODUCTION
Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide and over 500,000 business users, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a senior, deeply technical TPM to own delivery of Replit's highest-stakes, most complex programs—starting with our evergreen Agent roadmaps. This is an IC role for someone who has previously been an engineering manager or senior engineer, can operate comfortably in AI/LLM-heavy systems, and brings order, momentum, and sharp decision-making to cross-team ambiguity. The ideal candidate uses AI and automation aggressively to scale themselves, but understands that the core value is clarity, tradeoffs, and execution, not just tooling.
YOU WILL
- Own end-to-end delivery of Replit's most complex, cross-functional programs, with Agent development as the primary, evergreen focus
- Drive execution across Product, Eng, Research, GTM, and Leadership—surfacing dependencies, risks, and disagreements early
- Operate as the technical glue between teams: able to follow architecture decisions, challenge assumptions, and translate tradeoffs without slowing velocity
- Establish and run program operating cadence (milestones, reviews, decision logs, retros) for long-running bets
- Use AI, automation, and agent workflows to scale program management (status synthesis, risk detection, incident follow-ups, guardrails, retros)
- Take on additional high-stakes programs as needed (e.g. Enterprise initiatives, external integrations, priority conflicts)
- Partner closely with EMs and PMs without duplicating their roles—this role exists where ownership is otherwise fragmented
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of TPM experience (or equivalent) with a track record of leading complex, high-impact programs
- Deep technical fluency in systems like distributed architecture, infrastructure, platform engineering, or AI/ML
- Clear, direct communication style with strong decision-making skills
- Thrives in ambiguity and can drive progress independently—this is a high-impact IC role, not the foundation of a TPM organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background as an engineering manager or senior engineer
- Experience leveraging AI tools, agents, or automation to increase execution velocity—we'd love to hear specific examples
- Values clarity and momentum over process for process's sake
BONUS POINTS
- You've led programs for AI/ML or agent-based systems
- You've brought structure and accountability to cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
- You have a portfolio of ways you've used automation or tooling to scale your impact as a program manager
LOCATION
This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation Range: $208K - $286K
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS INCLUDE:

💹 401(k) Program
⚕️ Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance

Frame your credentials around platform infrastructure
Replit's Technician roles center on cloud infrastructure and developer tooling. Organize your resume and portfolio around hands-on experience with containerization, distributed systems, or developer environment configuration before you apply.
Verify Replit's E-Verify enrollment before accepting
H-1B sponsors must use E-Verify to confirm work authorization. Confirm Replit's enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search before you reach the offer stage, so there are no surprises when onboarding paperwork begins.
Target Replit roles open outside standard hiring cycles
Replit posts Technician openings throughout the year, not just in spring. Roles posted in the fall or winter can move through the offer process in time to file an H-1B petition before the April 1 USCIS registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Technician openings at Replit
Searching broadly across job boards wastes time on roles that don't sponsor. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Technician positions at Replit with confirmed H-1B sponsorship history, so you focus your effort where it counts.
Clarify the specialty occupation case during interviews
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations with a specific degree requirement. For Technician positions at a software company, proactively confirm with Replit's recruiting team that the role is structured around a defined technical discipline.
Align your start date with the H-1B cap timeline
Cap-subject H-1B petitions have an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from Replit outside that cycle, ask whether a cap-exempt filing path applies or whether a deferred start date is feasible given your current visa status.

Find Technician at Replit JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Replit sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Replit has sponsored H-1B visas for Technician roles. As a technology company building cloud-based developer tools, Replit regularly hires technical staff in positions that qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines. Sponsorship availability can vary by role and headcount, so confirm directly with the recruiting team during the interview process.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Replit?
You can find Technician openings on Replit's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with confirmed H-1B sponsorship history. Tailor your application to highlight technical experience relevant to cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, or platform operations. Reaching out to Replit engineers or technical staff on professional networks before applying can also strengthen your candidacy.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technician roles at Replit?
The H-1B is the primary work visa used for Technician positions at Replit and across the U.S. technology sector. Candidates already on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT can begin working while an H-1B petition is filed. For roles requiring less specialized credentials, TN status may apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals depending on how the position is classified.
What qualifications does Replit expect for Technician roles?
Replit's Technician roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Linux environments, networking, or developer tooling is heavily weighted. Because USCIS requires a specific degree nexus for H-1B specialty occupation approval, your educational background should align closely with the technical requirements listed in the job description.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I get an offer from Replit?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March each year, with petitions filed for an October 1 start date. If Replit extends an offer before March, the company can register you in that year's lottery. If you're already on F-1 STEM OPT, you may have up to 24 months of additional work authorization to bridge the gap while awaiting H-1B approval.
