- Support ongoing enhancement of the company’s Cx software platform by providing user feedback, identifying opportunities to improve workflow and functionality, assisting with quality checks, and, when applicable, supporting software updates or analytical tool development using Python.
- Review retro-commissioning and building tune-up project submissions, including technical reports, savings calculations, measure assumptions, implementation documentation, and measurement and verification results to confirm alignment with utility program requirements and engineering best practices.
- Develop and review engineering calculations to quantify energy and cost savings using spreadsheets, utility program tools, BAS trend data, interval meter data, Python-based analysis, and/or energy modeling software.
- Evaluate energy impacts for measures related to HVAC systems and controls, lighting, compressed air, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, motors, process systems, and other facility energy-using systems.
- Conduct measurement and verification activities to establish facility operating conditions, confirm project implementation, and verify energy savings.
- Activities may include installing data loggers, collecting BAS trend data, performing functional performance tests, capturing BAS screenshots and equipment photos, reviewing equipment operation, and discussing implementation details with customers and contractors.

Target roles that align with sponsored functions
Resource Innovations tends to sponsor positions in consulting and program delivery. Focus your applications on technical, analytical, and advisory roles where specialized expertise is most likely to justify the sponsorship investment in a professional services environment.
Understand which visa types they actively support
Resource Innovations sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and both F-1 OPT and CPT, plus Green Card pathways. If you're on OPT or CPT, this is a strong early-career entry point before transitioning to longer-term H-1B or permanent residence sponsorship.
Lead with consulting-relevant skills in your application
Professional services firms prioritize client-facing, data-driven, and project management skills. Tailor your resume to highlight those competencies directly, sponsorship decisions in consulting are closely tied to immediate billable value you bring to client engagements.
Apply early in the hiring cycle for H-1B roles
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. Identify and pursue open roles at Resource Innovations by January or February to leave time for the offer, LCA filing, and petition preparation before the deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship openings
Not all job listings clearly state whether sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus only on Resource Innovations roles that are genuinely open to international candidates.
Highlight sustainability and energy sector experience if relevant
Resource Innovations works heavily in energy efficiency and sustainability consulting. Candidates with backgrounds in environmental policy, clean energy programs, or utility sector projects may find their qualifications particularly well-suited to the firm's client base and sponsorship priorities.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Resource Innovations sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Resource Innovations sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established pattern of H-1B sponsorship, particularly for consulting and technical roles that require specialized expertise. If you're targeting an H-1B role there, focus on positions that align with their core service areas in energy efficiency, sustainability, and program consulting, and plan your timeline around the April filing deadline.
What visa types does Resource Innovations sponsor?
Resource Innovations sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, TN visa, J-1 visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for nonimmigrant work authorization, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for permanent residence. This breadth makes it a viable option at multiple career stages, from recent graduates on OPT to experienced professionals pursuing long-term immigration.
Which roles at Resource Innovations are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Resource Innovations tends to concentrate in consulting, program management, data analytics, and technical advisory roles. As a professional services firm focused on energy and sustainability, positions that require specialized knowledge in those domains are most likely to qualify. Roles requiring standard business skills without a technical specialty are less commonly sponsored in consulting environments.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Resource Innovations?
The most reliable approach is to search on Migrate Mate, which aggregates and verifies visa sponsorship data so you can filter specifically for Resource Innovations openings that are open to sponsored candidates. This saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship isn't actually available, which is a common problem when relying on general job listings.
How do I approach the application process at Resource Innovations as an international candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process. Resource Innovations has demonstrated willingness to sponsor across several visa categories, so transparency is unlikely to disqualify you. Align your experience with their consulting and sustainability focus, confirm your status eligibility for the role's visa type, and if you're H-1B cap-subject, start the process no later than early February to meet the April petitioning window.
